Grand Trine transiting July 22

So I have a question about transiting aspects. I'm not new to astrology exactly, but I am new to transit astrology.

What I noticed is that on Jul 21 2011 10:41 PM, roundabout, The Moon, Mercury, and North Node enter a grand trine and stay there through early morning of the 23rd. It looks like this initially:

North Node: 22 degrees Saggitarius (my 1st house)
Mercury: 25 Degrees Leo (my 9th house)
Moon: 17 Degrees Aries (my 5th house)

They get a little closer throughout the transit and then break off around 4am on the 23rd.

Natally, this produces a Sextile between my Sun/Venus conjunct in 7th house Gemini, from both Moon and Mercury, and an opposition with the same from North Node.

With the sun/venus I've also got a trine with Saturn transiting through 11th house libra, and jupiter through 6th house Taurus. Jupiter and Saturn will be quincunx at this time.

Now, my interest is less specifically about interpretation for myself as it is general understanding on how to look at all of this. Where do I start? How important are transiting aspects like this grand trine when one or multiple spheres involved aspect with natal spheres?

Anyone interested in looking at the chart specifically, I got the chart for this date from planetwatcher.com (don't know how to gauge it's reliability), and my chart from astro.com for 11th June 1985, Killeen, TX, USA 6:33 pm.

My guesses are wild here, but what I was mulling over was the nature of the trine itself - creating an easy flow of energy, maybe too easy like a hose you can't get a handle on - setting off that sun/venus conjuction along with the trine to Pluto and the oppositions to Neptune and Uranus; which sounds like some kind of high energy crisis of spiritual and philosophic ideas relating to my sense of connection to others. That's about as far as I got, I don't really know much about how to go about taking the transiting houses into account, or whether other transiting aspects like the saturn and jupiter aspects play a part. Getting into exalted planets and domicile rulership, etc., I'm only just starting that so I don't have the eye yet for what it really means.

But on what I have tried to grasp so far I'm inclined to think that there might be some kind of forceful breakthrough powered by a lot of psychological energy that seems like it could be either enlightening or soul crushing depending on how I handle that free flowing energy.

Sound like I'm anywhere in the ball park?

(Why this random day and time? I was actually looking ahead to see when this awful grand cross was going to break because I have been acutely aware of it since it started and am ready to be able to take a breather.)
