When you have the "stink of desperation" people can sense that and it is a put off, especially for relationships. It makes people want to run away from you as fast as they can. Take a chill pill and mellow out. It's Spring time. Go volunteer at the zoo or something. It's a good way to meet people and guess what? They have at least some of the same interests as you.
