Simple Tools for Assessing Romantic Compatability
Hi I was hoping to establish an understanding of relatively-agreed ways of assessing compatibility. I notice that composite charts have varying popularity - they are not universally accepted, and I have personally always been unsure/unhappy with their workings. I think I'm comfortable with major aspects, with tight orbs between two charts, and only with traditional rulers. If I see evidence of a Venus/Pluto link for example, if it's apparent or not, then so be it. I think mid-points have a similar but less polarizing response.
What about the good old-fashioned:
Venus+Mars
Mars+Venus
and though I've rarely seen this in books, I still think this is very important:
Venus+Venus
Mars+Mars
And what would people say about Sun/Sun, Moon/Moon or Sun/Moon, Moon/Sun relations?
I'm talking about signs compatibility firstly, then aspects between these two charts with single-chart modifications of these planets (e.g. I've a natal Venus-Saturn square).
Also, I've seen some astrologers on here make good use of house-ruler connections, e.g. lately I've seen 4th/9th ruler contact within one chart affects the person's chance of liking and living abroad. So what would we look for here?
(Rulers)
H1+H7 H5+H5/7/8 H7+H7/8
H1+H5
H1+H4
H1+H8
I'm sure I'll have forgotten a lot here...it'll come out in time I'm sure.
Any comments? What have you found works for you/clients?
