I want to be an actor does my chart agree??

My question is does my chart agree with the career i have in mind, im currently going to school for finance but im thinking about switching my major to drama because I feel thats where I want to be, but I dont know if my chart agrees.

Wow a nice Yod there between Sun, Neptune, and Pluto! Near exact placement. The Yod is often called a fated aspect. The finger of God. Many famous people have one, of course many do not. Neptune is the "Planet of Glamour" aspecting your natal Sun by 150 degrees, (quincunx or inconjunct) and so is Pluto on the other leg of the yod. Sun is at the apex, and is the fastest moving "planet" of the three. So it is a real yod. While no one here could never say if you would or would not be an actor with full honesty.. We all have our thespian masks. Your Chart does agree you want to express things artsy and finer things in life to the outer world from your domicile placement of Venus in Taurus in the first house and it aspects the yod at Neptune and Pluto.

By the same token, it may also indicate why you are where you are now..Finance studies. Because your Sun is in the second house, you may place extra emphasis on finances as your version of ultimate security at the core of your very being..(ruled by the Sun..the inner self) You have a planetary emphasis on water which can be materialistic as well as the Venus in Taurus. A real materialistic placement. Your Sun in the second house gives the Sun a flavored expression of Taurus as well as it's Gemini natal placement. Mercury, (its in Gemini's Home house..the third), at the 0 degrees cardinal point of Cancer can indicate one being a fated communicator. It being in the third house it is even more accentuated influence in your abilitiy to communicate be it on the screen or in the financial world. Conjunct with Moon and Mars ( a more mellow placement for Mars), and all being in Cancer may symbolize an ability to deliver a heavy emotional response in whatever "world", public or private, you choose.

Being realistic with yourself is in order for you have several oppositions of personal planets to Neptune which may be a source of wishing to glamourize the daily humdrum of life (with Venus trine Neptune your probably good at escaping in some form as well, usually a daydream as one, or developing those daydreams, ... having the same aspect, personally, I can vouch for that), especially, with your emphasis of these oppositions being between your Third house (early education) concern and your 9th house (higher plane of education College, philosophy, higher aspirations, and so forth) concerns.

Also, all your personal planets, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon, and Mars are on the lower side of your chart. This means your real emphasis in life has usually been on your personal inner world. Nothing is absolute though. You could be able to deliver a business proposal that would hit on an emotional key, or become an actor who could be good at a dramatic delivery. Your Gemini Sun could represent a good "talker" in either. Again, I would say nothing is absolute.

Do you just want to be an actor or do you act? Have you acted in plays in high school, college or community theater? ARe you good at memorizing and can you take direction?

In High school? Nooo...In college yes I took Acting 101, I got a B although I know I could've done better but the rush of it all inspired me so to say, so I am deciding on working towards a BFA (Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts aka Drama)...I just wanted to know if my chart agrees with my choice

Welcome to the forum. I hope you continue to visit and learn astrology. As an example, I will give a reading for your occupation using classical methods. Since yours is a night time chart, the nocturnal planets are stronger: Moon, Venus, Mars and in this chart Mercury. The diurnal planets are weaker: Sun, Jupiter and Saturn. As for finance or acting, there are indications either way in your chart.

For arts and acting look at the 5th house which is ruled by the Sun. However, the Sun is weak at night(said to be out-of-sect), it lacks essential dignity and its house position is also weak, but the Sun is not a primary significator of occupation so this is not as bad as it looks.

Mercury, Venus and Mars are the significators of occupation of the native. All three have strength of sect at night. It would be better if they were above the horizon, but they will do very well as is. Venus has essential dignity being in its own domicile, and it is the triplicity ruler of your occupation. Venus is the natural ruler of the arts and acting, but is also known for money and finance. This would indicate that you would do well in either one. But let us look at Mercury and Mars.

Mars is in its own terms and in mutual reception with Jupiter. This is a very strong Mars which gives ambition and accomplishment. Mars likes to collect taxes and bills and with Mercury could indicate someone good at a financial occupation. Also the mutual reception with Jupiter is a strong indication for finance. On the other hand Mars and Mercury are received by a very strong Moon that indicates favor with the public, an advantage for acting.

Saturn ruling the 10th house is as weak as the Sun so that is no help. This is complicated, but I would say that the chart leans toward financial. But you will have to make your own decision, and I think indications are that you will do well either way.

This is not the chart of an actor really. May be some television or radio perhaps but your 10th ruler is Saturn in 8th house of others assets, secret activities and the hidden generally. I can see you dealing with foreign assets and currencies. That is the Sagittarius influence and the trine to Jupiter. Your 6th ruler of every day work is Mercury and it is conjunct Mars in Cancer in the third of communications. Your 2nd house of income and assets is also ruled by Mercury. I can see that you are good communicator in general but I dont see the stage or public life. Leo, the 5th house and strong Sun needs to be prominent for performing arts such as acting. With influences to the 12th and 8th houses, that is more behind the scenes and you could be involved in radio plays for instance or script editing and organisation with theatre but not on stage. Television presenter is also possible. I see the connection to Jupiter and Sagittarius which can involve acting but really corporate legal matters would be a better bet.

I'm in a similar crossroads right now...I also have venus in taurus, which is emphasizing my materialistic motives for career at the moment, but I was told in other threads here that I have alot of indicators for acting, but I still don't know how to reconcile that...

I've been told I have alot of what you mentioend...a part of fortune in leo for instance, 5th house venus, strong sun-venus?...does this indicate being more infront than behind the scenes? when it was first mentioned here that I could do acting, I was ecstatic, but my VERY shy and grounding moon in virgo (and probably my saturn influences too) immediately drew me to the idea of being behind the scenes if I were to EVER try this at all, or supplementing this vocation in other ways, such as being a public figure in politics in the future for instance...

but I'm wondering if I should really try to overcome this and be open to putting myself in the spotlight, something I honestly dread...or if there are other directions a strong "actor's chart" can go...

one reason I thought about the politics thing is because of what I read about my moon conjunct MC:
