Eros (and Psyche) & outer planets in synastry
I was reading some information from Kim Falconer on Eros, and some other posts about Eros conjunct planets in synastry ... but I was a bit curious regarding Eros/outer-planet contacts. Exactly how valid ARE these? The outer planets move so very slowly, and I'm not clear on how fast Eros (or other asteroids) move, but I know Chiron is slow.
I tend to regard outer planetary aspects as generational, of course, and it's only when they're pulled into aspect with personal planets that they have resonance, as that's how the person experiences/expresses the "energy" of his or her generation. So for instance, the Virgo Pluto-Uranus conj. sextiling Scorpio Neptune of the early-mid-60s is expressed for me via Mercury (thought and writing) out of my 7th and 9th houses.
Would this also apply in synastry to asteroid and outer-planet aspects?
I ask in particular, as I'm looking at a Pluto-Eros conjunction in Libra (his 11th, her 7th), which I wouldn't consider significant except that her (7th) Sun is also involved. His Pluto falls right in between the conj. of her Sun and Eros, but his Pluto is closer to her Eros.
Second, her Neptune (9th house cusp) is conjunct his Eros (12th) in Neptune, but his (12th) Mercury AND Ascendant are involved ... her Neptune falling between his Mercury and Eros (ascendant on the other side of his Eros).
Thoughts on this?
