Eros Through the Signs

Hi, I'm Modcleopatra.

My interest with Asteroids is an extension of my interest with Astrology and interest in Mythology. Asteroids can represent powerful symbolism in our lives based on the connection they make to the myths, which are reflective of our powerful relationship to our creative forces and capacity to understand our world in a myriad of ways.

Eros:

God and Messenger of Love, Affection, Adoration (both open and more private), and Sexual Harmony


How to precisely understand what role Eros plays in relationship to Venus and Mars:

Eros is a garnish, a side, a brief detail or underscore to these more major planets. Focus on Venus and Mars in your chart to first understand how you relate and love and then see that as your primary way of operating. Eros functions through these major planets, so don't focus too much on your Eros. It is but a small underlying current, to these more major celestial bodies.


Aries: Ardent, physical, driven, highly romantic, but also may see love as a sport or game, connected to the light-heartedness of it all, passionate, motivated to be physical in expression of love, body may be a focus of expression of love, not necessarily on a sensory level but more on body as something which can be used for sex and love

Taurus:Sensual, refined, charismatic, sophisticated, libidinal pleasure connected to food, security, creature comforts and in general pleasure oriented without guilt, essentially connected to the romantic, art, love, and all expressions of such, love as a way to freedom but also as way to understanding love as freedom of seeking pleasure

Gemini: love note writer, evaporation of love and seduction into words as foreplay into more concrete forms of adoration and love expression, words as ways into one's heart, communication and connection through the mudane into deeper and richer ways of connecting, sees the basic experience of the world as something to be shared and takes pleasure in sharing this with loved one and loved ones

Cancer:Soothing, patient, methodical, motherly/maternal in the sense that love comes rhythmically, like the tides, retreats and advances in the same pattern that the earth moves, likes to build a sense of safety and connection over time using pattern of the earth, and the salts of self-love and cleanliness, love from Cancer in Eros is about connecting or approaching that which is most natural to love... the way of the Earth as it relates to the Moon



Leo:Passion, drama, daring and boldness in love but always with a sense of dignity, specialness, royalty, connected to a grander sense of things, relationship to the Sun important here, eros moves through this heat, so expression of love is also ego driven therefore potentially requiring more time spent with lover or seeking love which is compelling in a way the brings sense of purpose, wholeness or clarity of one's being and function


Virgo: Interested in sanctification and spiritual attunement in relationships, clarity and refinement are concerns, focus on perfection as a relic or source of inspiration, as a focus or way to connect, harmony through daily activities and rituals being source of pleasure, perfection sought in the grace of peacefulness or interludes of disharmony so as to once again arrive back at a sense of harmony or refinement, perfection of a relationship through exploring its imperfection with a sense of joy and romance

Libra:Joy through love, pure, connected to the balancing act in a way that feels natural, totally absorbed in the act of loving for the sake of loving and nothing more, not needing to make love anything but what it is, appreciating love as a source of balance and connection to the self and others as a way to be part of the whole meaning of love, love as a source of completion and connecting to others, a person with Eros in Libra may found their attitudes towards love rather antiquated and find more joy in poetic or less practical sense of love.


Scorpio:Sex does matter to Eros in Scorpio, but it's about the love act in direct alignment with sex itself. It's the two as one in the same, not to be divided or disconnected, Eros in Scorpio perhaps represents the ideals portrayed in romance novels. Very soulful, passionate, involved, connected to the archetype of the perfect physical/spiritual love connection, has to be wary of being consumed by this, but usually finds outlets for this passion in other ways, as this is necessary for Scorpio's relationship to health in general

Sagittarius: Love as a philosophical endeavor, love as a way to connecting to God or Philosophy or Law, Love as a way to be associated with a higher order of things, to reach with Love to a place of higher mindedness or connected to things which rise above the day-to-day, love as a discussion of humanities and philosophy, love also as primal physical force because this is a fire sign but love through the physical as a way to teach or reach to a higher place, love a way to explore the philosophical and physical challenges (as Sag is a centaur) of balancing more animal like qualities with more mind-oriented ways of doing things... love as a way to expose this process and bring it to fruition

Capricorn: Love on practical terms, rooted in manifesting on the planet essence of love, usually through acts of love finding themselves in physical objects or actions. Eros in Capricorn focused on capitalizing on all creations and productions of love. Not materialistic in a greedy way as perhaps might be assumed, but more about making love something physical, showing love in actions and in pursuit of heaven on earth within absorbing and seeking structures associated with limits, normalcy, and preservation of tradition and habit

Aquarius: Love of Humanity, can sometimes be seen as a more difficult placement for Eros because of Aquarius's considerable involvement with a more global concept of awareness i.e. could be read as coldness. Eros here focuses on loving the transpersonal ways of loving, a more objective or reflective way of loving or being usually less focused on the act of love and how those acts of love are for people and more what the love people share means in a larger sense, approaches love with a place of genuine understanding, thereby promoting love in that wake, usually can encourage others, albeit indirectly, to approach the love of others with a more open heart or even still to approach non-traditional love relationships with an openness of a sense of awareness to the larger or more implicit, underlying concepts which reflect all of humanity and it's many versions of love


Pisces: Deeply connected to the more spiritual or esoteric sides of loving, enchanted by acts of love or connected to the more artistic or refined ways and modes of expressing love, seeking connection to love in terms of the spirit and soul, and seeing the body as an expression this way and path to loving, runs deeper than Libra, or perhaps simply differently, less about balance, grace and harmony, and more about depth and total spiritual awareness and fortitude through the act of loving, whether towards another, or manifested in a creative way such as art or music
