Chiron Conjunct SN in synastry.
I am interested in your views on this subject. I am looking at two charts, one with time of birth known, the other not. In the synastic chart, each Chiron conjuncts the other's SN, in Scorpio, (Chiron is conjunct the SN in the composite). In the known TOB chart, the action takes place in the 12th house, and that Chiron is natally conjunct the moon, with the SN conjunct Jupiter. In the unknown TOB chart SN is conjunct Mars, and Chiron squares Pluto.
It seems that there must be a karmic connection here, that perhaps this couple are meant to heal each other's past wounds, but I feel dissatisfied with that simple answer. In my experience, Chiron in one chart aspecting by conjunction personal planets in another can lead to serious wounding to both parties. A previous thread brought up this question, and in the posts the opinion seemed to be that it was the Chiron party who came off worse; not my personal opinion at all! It was my Jupiter/Mars/Moon conjunction conjuncted by a partners Chiron; I felt defenseless in a very wounding relationship. It is interesting that at the time Chiron had progressed to conjunct my Mars, awakening me to the fact that I needed to learn more skilful ways of asserting myself without anger.
I accept that maturity is needed to deal with difficult aspects like these, but with Chiron in aspect feel one must accept there is potential for both healing and harming.
It is for that reason I am treating this SN/Chiron interaction with some respect and am inclined to believe that a sense of woundedness brought this couple together, perhaps to heal the moon issues of one, and the mars expression of the other, but that within those areas there is also potential for harm, as there would be if personal planets were involved. Mars/Chiron is involved here too. The fact that both nodes and Chirons are involved incline me to believe there is more likelihood of healing, and that this is a relationship where karmic debts can be paid in terms of that relationship, but I'm not sure whether personal healing or movement towards the NN is involved.
I would love to hear from anyone with views on any of the issues raised here. I am generally interested in the role of Chiron in synastry and in transit.
