There are many transits that can make someone run for cover.

Saturn transits to personal planets can do so. Saturn crossing an angle, or a luminary can make somebody less social. They may feel like working from home, and dealing with personal issues in privacy.

Pluto is also likely to force someone into hiding. Often one just wants to be alone. I have Pluto on my Capricorn Moon right now. I have been hibernating.

^^ sounds familiar. I was the life of the party about a month ago now I do not want to be around people very much - Saturn is transiting my venus.

Being a temporary condition, you will probably find Saturn being behind it.
I always run for cover whenever tr Saturn squares or opposes my Cap Asc , so that's every 7 & a half years I become even less social than normal!
