How to guess Dwads?

How do people guess ascendant duads by looking at someone's physical appearance?

Leon, I generally don't even try to guess someone's ascendant, let alone the AS dwad, because so many things can shine through the outer personality and body (i. e., AS) that someone presents to the world. Moreover, a lot of the popular astrology books on matching up ascendants with physical appearances are pretty racist: not much on people of African or Asian descent in the books I've seen.

I do think dwads reveal additional information, however. If you know someone's birth time (for anyone reading here who is unfamiliar with them) and have an exact ascendant, each dwad is a division of a sign by 12, making units of 2.5 degrees (i. e., 2 degrees, 30 minutes.) Each dwad is then assigned its own sign of the zodiac. There are several methods to calculate dwad signs, but I use the one where the first dwad has the same sign as the sign in question, then the other dwads follow the signs in order. After the Pisces dwad comes Aries.

For example, if someone has their ascendant in 11 degrees Virgo, their Asc would be in the Capricorn dwad. This might reinforce a practical, cautious tendancy in the personality.

Interesting, could you accurately guess which decan my ascendant is on if you saw a pic of me?

If l had time on my hands, yeah probably.

It is very time-consuming because you have to find at least 10 people of each decan (and the dwad changes every 2.5 degrees from 0-30!!!) so for me l have aries AC.

I first figured that my decan was sagittarius (decans change every 10 degrees)
then l had to find people who had their Aries AC's at:
20-22.5
22.5-25
25-27.5
27.5-30
degrees in their charts.

Find the common theme between the individual dwads and apply it to myself. Took me weeks

you feel amazing when you figure it out though. I then had an astrologer rectify my chart and she came up with the same degree that l had so it must work.
