A different approach to the Outer Planets, and other theories
I have heard much about how the outer planets (Uranus to Pluto) are the higher octave of Mercury, Venus & Mars. However I have taken a different approach to understanding the influence of these planets, which I thought I should share for the benefit of the community. The "Higher Octave" approach only paints half of the picture as I see it. Uranus may be the higher octave of Mercury, but that doesn't explain its tendencies to rebel and break with tradition. To explain the second part of each planet I see that instead of it being only a higher octave, each outer planet also has a mirroring or opposing theme to an inner planet as well in the opposite planetary order. To explain, the classical planets in order are the Luminaries, then Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Thus the outer planets mirror starting with Uranus being the anti-Saturn, Neptune being the anti-Jupiter and Pluto being the anti-Mars. Now what does this mean? Let me make a list to help explain:
Uranus
As a higher octave of Mercury it provides a route to Universal Knowledge.
As an Anti Saturn it breaks structures and laws from external sources, thus provoking a need of a new internal structure.
Good: With internal structure it brings Progress and Genius
Bad: Without internal structure it brings Chaos and Insanity
Neptune:
As a higher octave of Venus it provides a route to Universal Harmony.
As an Anti Jupiter it dissolves clarity and wisdom that comes from external sources, provoking a need of wisdom and clarity from within.
Good: With internal clarity it brings Spirituality and Compassion
Bad: Without internal clarity it brings Illusion, Lies and Deceit
Pluto:
As a higher octave of Mars it provides a means to become one with the Universal Will.
As an Anti Mars it prevents the externalization of self preservation and Action. Thus to survive one must act on what is within.
Good: With internal change and action it leads to transformation and Rebirth.
Bad: Without internal change it leads to Death and Destruction (both literal and figurative). In other words, Evolve or Die.
Thus as we can see from above, that Uranus needs the stabilizing effect of Saturn to help bring out its greatest strength. Neptune needs Jupiter's wisdom to prevent disillusionment, and Pluto needs Martian energy to change from within. It is no wonder therefore that these outer planets rule the signs formerly attributed to their mirror partners. Aquarius ruled by Uranus and Saturn allows for both influences. Similarly Pisces and Scorpio too are able to balance the outer planetary influences with the influences of their mirror counterparts.
For further evidence of this connection we can look at astronomy. We can see that Uranus and Neptune are gas giants, similar to Saturn and Jupiter. Uranus has rings and is less dense and less massive than Neptune, just as Saturn is less dense and less massive than Jupiter. Neptune also was found to have a Great Dark Spot when voyager passed by, just as Jupiter has a Great Red Spot. Other similarities exist, but I won't get into them here. Pluto is the a large rocky body (10 times the mass of Ceres) found in the Kuiper Belt (large in relation to other objects in the Kuiper Belt). Which makes it more likely to be a mirror of Mars, than of the Gas Giants.
This has led me to see these outer planets in a different light. Not only as a higher octave of an inner personal planet, but also by seeing it as an inverse of another inner planet it can accurately show how it affects us.
