Thank you for the info! This eclipse falls in my 4th house, 4 degrees away from my Neptune. I have been thinking A LOT lately about changing certain habits and addressing what is at the "root" of my life.

I know I am late in responding. darn.

This Lunar Eclipse in Gemini fell in my 4th house, opposing my Midheaven and conjuncting my Chiron, trining my Sun in Aquarius, and opposing my Mars in Sagittarius. The Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius at 3 degress fell in my 9th house, squaring my ASC (29 degrees Aquarius) and trining my Venus in Aries.

What do I get out of this? Since the Lunar Eclipse was ruled by Mercury, and Mercury was doing this to my planets, I guess I would be communicating pretty effectively here-- the square to my ASC could possibly be me questioning my true outlook on my life; how I saw myself and how my being affected by this releasing period changes my self-image--and the trine to Venus making me more comfortable in expressing my feelings.

Which leads to the Gemini eclipse in the 4th house conjunct Chiron. Since it opposed my Mars, I was coming from a place of anger and resentment--in fact, I had so much tension built, that I needed a release, and my natal Mars allowed me to do so. Natal Chiron in the 4th is usual for an unstable upbringing and home life--a wound inflicted upon me at birth, that I use to my advantage in helping others.

Lunar eclipses are about release, and now thinking about this in hindsight is sure interesting. I didn't know at the time there was an eclipse, but after talking with a good friend of mine about our dads (An Aries sun with a Cancer rising), I suddenly became very angry and I just wanted to let it all go. After I got off the phone with him (Mercury and Gemini ruling communications), I sat down and wrote a a three page letter to my dad about how his behavior affected me growing up. He had never shown me what a father was supposed to be--the kind that isn't overtly domineering, spiteful, and controlling--the kind that doesn't fault his first-born son for being born when he was only 24 (which is the age I'm about to turn this February)--the kind that doesn't emotionally abuse or harass his children.

Once I had written it all down, I felt SOOO much better! My resolve is that because he was never fit to be my father, I'm changing my last name (his biological inheritance) to my mother's maiden name. It will be a huge step towards self-healing for me.

I think that fits your eclipse experience to a T. Look at for sun and mars square to that point. Often the same energy will be rereleased.

Gemini59 your chart is a great example of Mercury retrograde linking in very clearly with the subject of this thread - ie - the lunar eclipse that just passed close to your Gemini Sun when transiting Mars had also just squared up to your natal Jupiter. Eclipses on their own are powerful and when combined with other transiting cycles, volatile events may be experienced, as you have shown

This was my experience from this eclipse.

When the moon was full at 18.11 degrees Gem. this eclipse was in conjunction with my natal Uranus almost to the minute. My natal Uranus is 18.15 and the progressed is 18.09.

In addition my progressed ascendant is sextile Uranus so the eclipse was sextile it.
My progressed sun is trine natal saturn.
As the eclipse was happening my progressed moon was forming a sextile to the progressed sun and natal saturn.

Transiting Uranus is sextile my sun.
Transiting Jupiter is square my sun.
Transiting Saturn is square mars.

How does this affect me - I have been fighting lyme disease for five years.

Uranus influence - I got a low level laser LED device that stimulates acupuncture points to increase endorphins which boosts the immune system.

Sun trine Saturn - My health is improving tremendously. I am capable of doing things I have not been able to accomplish for years.

Moons influence - this is happening right now. My family is also together. I am letting go of the tendency to need to direct everyone in an effort to take care of them. They are cooperating on their own.

Negative transits of Jupiter and mars - I had an infection surface that caused tremendous pain. I started drugs for it and it is now gone.

While the eclipse was happening I used the LED device to treat myself. I felt bathed in cosmic energy. I feel well for the first time in five years. This disease attacks the brain as well as the body. I can think more clearly and I am happier.

But that can change especially when my progressed Mars squares natal Uranus in June! Make the best of the moment and try to avert or minimize a set back.
