Any experiences or insight regarding Venus/DC line?

I've been living directly under a Moon/IC + Saturn square MC line and am finding it very... VERY difficult to live constructively.
I've been planning to relocate and return to med school, and there are two cities I'm looking at:

#1:
9km from line - Sun sextile AC (Sun in 10th, conjunct Midheaven)
109km from line - Neptune sextile MC (Neptune in 12th house, conjunct Ascendant)

#2:
40km from line - Venus sextile MC
92km from line - Venus/DC (Venus in 7th house, conjunct Descendant)
136km from line - Mercury square MC (Mars, Mercury, Sun and Pluto in 6th House)

After a few emotionally turbulent and punishing experiences where I am currently, I don't want to move someplace where I will feel as vulnerable. And having lived directly under a Neptune/AC line, I'm a bit wary of city #1 because I've found Neptune-Ascendant seems to attract liars/deception.

The one thing I can't seem to understand is how Venus-Descendant in #2 will affect me.
Will I become needy? Will I need relationships because I "feel estranged and unbalanced on my own, as if I was only half a person"?? (astro.com) That does not sound appealing... especially at this point when I'm working to find strength on my own!
