Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
Cat has been using compressed pine pellet litter (feline pine) since he came to us. He'd been with a friend of ours previously who had used the usual clumping litter. He's affectionate and seems to enjoy us, however he's peed numerous times on/in our shoes, clothes, pillows, blankets, etc.
I'm really interested in anyone's input because I've got too many other things to do today, preparing for a party, bedding to wash, etc...
IGNORE THIS CHART. IT SHOULD BE SET FOR OCT 31, NOT 3rd. Chart with correct date is below.

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
The cat is Venus and cat litter is maybe Mercury. There's an applying semi-square it looks like while Venus is in term of Mercury (egyptian term). Maybe he will get used to it, but the semi-square is slight difficulty. The semi-square suggests yes to your answer.

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
The most common reason a cat does this is illness, not revenge. Your chart is almost a month old, did you mean to put the date of the 3rd on it?
I don't think horary is needed here, frankly. There are many practical reasons for why a cat suddenly stops using his box. Mine did the same thing, I figured out the issue (he outgrew his box and I also needed to clean it twice a day instead of once since he is PICKY). Now he never goes outside his box anymore. http://www.catchannel.com/behavior/l...x-lessons.aspx
EDIT: Sorry about that, for some reason I could not see the "with his litterbox" end of the question until I expanded my screen! I just saw "is my cat peeing on our things because he is unhappy." My mistake!

WOOPS! Wow... now you see why I needed to get others' input today. No, that's supposed to be today - Oct.31. I'll attach the correct chart here.
Actually, misskitty, you've misunderstood. He IS using the litter box, but in addition he's been peeing on our things. I'm not sure if he's unhappy with the litter situation or with being confined in a room with a closed door (window open to allow him out). I'm an animal lover but not as cat-wise as I'd like to be yet.

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
No problem, I thought it might be an error! The correct date gives you a very early ASC though, suggesting a new situation or situation that isn't fully developed. Kitty's significator Venus is retrograde, detrimented, and combust, and taken with that early ASC I just wonder if you should take him to the vet to rule out any illness that you may not know about. He could simply have a UTI and is associating the pain with his litter box. If you change his litter, I would mix in some of the old type so the smell will be somewhat familiar just until he gets used to it. But really, I would take him to the vet for a check up. Good luck!

Oh, ok! I don't know about you but this Venus Rx has felt like a Mercury RX to me because I've noticed I'm not as thorough as usual. :P Sorry...

Thanks for the link.
I've looked through it and I think there are probably multiple factors involved, but #3-unclean box is part of it. The Feline Pine disintegrates with urine, but under the top layer of pellets, so it is hard to see and we don't notice the odor. Many times I don't notice when he's used it, so it remains hidden and not obvious till he poops. Plus I did not use the proper approach of changing his litter gradually to the new brand (reason #4), because the fragrance-heavy type he'd been using it toxic to me and a housemate (both chemically sensitive).

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
You're welcome. Yes, I had no idea cats were so particular! My oldest cat, who is 14, never had issues going in the box if it was dirty. It was quite a surprise when I discovered my youngest was so particular about it! I feel for you about the toxicity. I am allergic to certain brands of litter. What I think is alarming about your kitty (and hopefully I am wrong) is that if he really just didn't like the litter then he would simply go outside. If it is a simple UTI, it is simple to fix, and it would explain why he can't wait to go outside. UTI's can create sudden and urgent need to go to the bathroom. Again, I wish you luck in finding a solution!

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
I would say it as simple as that cat does not like it, and use whatever the previous owner was using. Cat is Mercury, litter is Moon, Moon squares Mercury, and Mercury is in fall of Moon. Cat doesn't like it. Now out of curiosity, is the cat dark colored?

Re: Is cat peeing on our things because he's unhappy with his litter?
Has your cat been neutered? Male cats spray urine to mark their territories, not because they dislike their litterbox. Sometimes if they've been neutered later in life, they don't give up the habit.
Did you consult your vet?
