Horary Test: Will I keep my job?
This is a test for anyone looking to try the astrological skills on a difficult chart. After some comments are made, I'll reveal the outcome.
Please everybody know that you are most welcome to post on the forum such horary questions, either found on the internet/books/etc, either yours, with the purpose of improving our horary skills.
Just start the title of your new thread with "Horary Test:".
The question is "Will I Keep My Job?"
March 14, 1996, 4:42 pm EST, at Clarksville, IN, USA (38N15 85W45).

Background:
The Querent is a supervisor at an amusement park. She has worked her way up from a trainee position operating rides to her present position. What concerned her was a change in company ownership and management. She was well-thought of by the previous owners/managers and received good reviews, regular pay raises and promotions. The new management, by contrast, exhibited signs of hostility toward the employees held over in the transition, especially those in supervisory and management positions. Her immediate manager had been summarily dismissed in a most reprehensible way.

Re: Horary Test: Will I keep my job?
Maybe she will because of that Regulus on ASC and because Ve (job) exalts Moon(her), but I am not sure because both Su and Moon are peregrine and Moon is in detriment. Sun, her, is at the end of sign, so if she keep job she will do something different from what she is doing now and she will not be so happy (POF conjuct unfortunate fix star (Betelgeuse).

Re: Horary Test: Will I keep my job?
Good points. Pars of Fortune conjunct Betelguese - I didn't see that. But notice also Algol conjunct the Midheaven (slightly more than one degree orb).
Indeed these are a good indications of her strongly disliking the job.
However ASC on Regulus and Venus, 10th house ruler, in domicile show that she is in a position of power at work. Yet both the Sun and the Moon are peregrine, as you say.
This chart is tricky. There're some more important things to notice.
I attach the horary chart.

Re: Horary Test: Will I keep my job?
Here's my reading, let's hope it's right.
At the time this question was asked, the management had already made its decision as to whether to keep the querent or to dismiss her (late ascendant).
The querent is signified by the Sun, lord of the Ascendant. The management is signified by Venus/tenth house. The job is signified by the sixth house. She has a boss over her, and cannot arrange neither her schedule nor her activities. Therefore the job is signified by Saturn/sixth house.
The Sun is besieged and peregrine in Pisces, the sign of fears and worries. This condition indicates that she has no power over the decision that was taken. She was extremely worried about the situation. In the end, these worries were not justified. Within three days or weeks, she got the offer to stay.
Why?
The Sun was received by Saturn (the position) by terms. Also it was in the exaltation of Venus (the management). The Sun is also applying to Saturn: she is about to get her new job.
The Moon was peregrine. At the same time, it was in the fifth house (amusement park, Capricorn: she was a supervisor) and moving to the sixth house. The Moon is ruled by Saturn (the job) and applies a sextile to the Sun, as well as to Saturn.
Also Venus (the management) is applying a trine to Jupiter (benefic). Jupiter is in the house symbolising the amusement park.
Either the management could not find a suitable replacement, or they valued her skills her precision, in the end I think she kept her position,
Blumen
(added later)....but perhaps work in another location, in a different amusement park managed by the same company? I am not too sure about this though

Re: Horary Test: Will I keep my job?
In this type of question it is important in which sign are angles and rules. Anglas are in fix sign and ruler of job. But querent's ruler is in double sign so 2:1 for keep the job.
But, as you said Radu , this chart is very contradictory. Here is why. If she keeps the job than her's ruler must be in better condition from ruler of rivals. But if I can believe my astroprogram that is not the case in this chart:
planets' strengths:
Sun=-10
Moon=-2
Saturn=4!
So I am not sure, again.

Thanks for pointing this out, Goca, it is something I didn't consider when I delineated the chart,
