cusps and orbs

hey,
simple synastry question that i need clarification/opinions on- if one person's planet falls 5 degrees away from another person's house cusp, then is it considered in the next house, or would it still just be analyzed in the house it is in?

would it be best to assume the planet influences both houses??

also, what orb would you use when considering a planet being in the next house in synastry? IMO maybe 5 is okay because conjunctions are strong..however maybe 1-2 is better since we are talking cusps and not actual planets..i dunno

these are general questions, so no chart is necessary, i have like 3 or 4 synastries im studying right now and am trying to give good interps
okay thanks!!

Re: cusps and orbs

with synastry orbs I use max 3' and same with planets in synastry to be felt. Although with natal planets conj house cusps usually it's 5' -- but am sure others on here may differ slightly.

When looking at a woman’s chart the type of man she would look for is her sun sign and mars traits, plus 7th house planets and house cusp ruler and where that ruler was deposited.
When looking at a mans chart for the type of woman he would look for is his venus and moon sign and then 7th house planets and house cusp ruler and where that ruler was deposited.

Although synastry is a valuable tool with astrology it cannot 'make things happen' even if you have the best synastry in the world unfortunately..
