Re: Am I fit to join the Army, astrologicly?
Using whole sign houses, you have Mars/Virgo/10th ruled by Mercury/Virgo/10th - I think you would do very well in the military and rise up the ranks (Mars/Mercury in Virgo/10th would be make a good military strategist). Same if you join the police. Your career should really begin to take off during your 21st year (Your Asc profects or "moves forward" 10 signs - a 10th house profection year).
By the way, if the military/police saw this thread they wouldn't hire you so you might want to edit it or change your profile picture - just some friendly advice.

Re: Am I fit to join the Army, astrologicly?
You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.
Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

http://www.skyviewzone.com/birthinfoforms2/housesexplained.htm
It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'
In Equal mercury and venus would be 10th and sun, mars would be 9th. So if you like the law, long distance travel all 9th house matters....

"This confers an adventurous and spirited nature and makes a person extremely restless if he is confined within ‘four walls’ be they of the home or the environment of birth, which he usually perceives to be narrow in both its understanding and sympathies. usually a strong desire to travel overseas in order to receive new impressions and experiences from within different cultural traditions.
Once he realises he can find within himself, answers which he once sought in the outer world he tends to become less physi*cally restless and a more settled. He may well chose to reside outside birth country"

[deleted Mars in the 9th house quote since it continues the quote from the same page and is too long according to our forum rules - Moderator]
do you recognise yourself?
Saggi Asc loves socialising and travel, if not travel then philosophy. T Pluto is presently conj natal Uranus and later this year conj Saturn.
Also T Saturn is now retrograding (going backwards) over your natal venus, suggesting a break in relationships, feeling unloved and quite poss short of money again.
You do have a 'talent triangle' with Pluto as apex

Curiously, your thread header is about career and army and you talk 'Soooo' much about relationships. I'm sorry but is was so lengthy I just skimmed your post to what your thread header was asking....

Right now transiting (transformation) is going over your birth (spirituality, also confusion) in the being house, indicating a time of "unconfusion" when you begin to see things clearly in your life. So you are becoming more directly aware of the challenges around you and you can no longer "gloss over" the issues. You also have a cradle chart which focuses you on one side of your life and separates you from your (home, also emotions), indicating you may "cut yourself off" emotionally or not be aware of your emotions. This, too, is going away, as you begin to directly experience your emotions.
The result is an "emotional flood" with your emotions overcoming you at times, as you begin to feel things very powerfully and strongly. Increasing this emotional time, transiting is going over your birth , making the emotions something confusing to you. This is a LONG transit, and it will result in you beginning to work out your emotional issues and accept the "emotional side" of yourself.
In addition, transiting (duty, also authority, structure) is at the top (outer world) part of your chart, so you feel a strong need to be responsible and "take charge" of your life. It is this "structuring urge" that can help you now, as you force yourself to "take charge" of your life.
Since transiting (friends, also rebellion) is opposing (energy is over-excited by) birth (relationships), you (on some level) rebelled against this relationship and are now trying to be an "individual".
In short, a LOT of things are going on, and all of them together are giving you strong energy to DO things and to take charge of your life.
Wishing you the best,
Tim

Re: Am I fit to join the Army, astrologicly?
In one word - YES
But you are born on full moon (or near full moon). You won't be able to make a kill - you will feel pain of other before your own. As a planner, you'd do great: Mars, Saturn/Neptune can bring successes in any martian pursuits.
At personal front, you need to work more, so that people feel comfortable - need to be listener and take care of relationships (Uranus in 1st). You can make your way using force (Mars), but that would always weaken career/goal_of_life (where Venus is located). Between force and love/compassion, choosing love/compassion would be helpful.

Re: Am I fit to join the Army, astrologicly?
BB, it sounds like you are well out of the relationship--and living situation--from hell. How your mother put up with it, I'll never know. You have a loving, caring nature but with Venus [what you look for in a woman] squaring those heavy first house planets and opposing your moon, "true love never runs smooth."
Obviously the Canadian armed services wants people who wish to defend their country out of patriotism, not because they feel suicidal. If you wish to enlist for the right reasons, I would encourage you to do so, but not because you are having difficulty rebounding from a bad relationship. To put it more bluntly--you might just get badly wounded and then have two serious problems instead of just this one.
I think a "9th house career" is indicated for you, with the ruler of your 10th house of career in the 9th house. This might be something like international trade, or an import/export business. Mercury in Virgo is very strong and well-aspected, and it could indicate international communications--but it also rules trade. Mars in the 9th rules soldiers. It is well-aspected also. I think you would do fine with a hitch in the armed services but I don't quite get a military career.

You may have to try our search feature here, bit like google, using keywoards to find info on Whole sign I think we only have one or two members who practice this. I have sent you some links on Equal via PM

Re: Am I fit to join the Army, astrologicly?
BB, thanks for the feedback: it's how I learn.
But I gotta break it to you. There are many, many ways to exercise Mars in the 9th that don't involve going to Afghanistan. Like traveling around the world solo, or taking up an extreme sport, just for example. I would never discourage anyone who had it in him to be a soldier and to contribute to his country or international peace-keeping, but I honestly don't get this from either your narrative or your chart.
If I might take a deeper cut at this thing: you have a complex first house that suggests self-esteem issues. There is nothing wrong with that: many of us have them, especially when we are young. But it is important to recognize the interface between self-esteem issues and our relationships. Too often, we look to a GF/BFto make us feel better about ourselves, but it seldom works out for the best, because the basic self-confidence and self-love isn't well developed; and we don't always make wise choices about the person we love--or think we love.
It makes no more sense to stay in a bad relationship long after its problems have become obvious than it does to decide to stay away from relationships for several years. There is no sane, rational balance in either type of choice: both are extremes.
Also, you may "not be into business" now, but the majority of your planets are in earth signs, including your MC ruler. Your moon and north node of your personal growth are in the 2nd house of money and possessions. This suggests at some level the need to have a more practical, material approach to life. International business oftentimes involves tons of travel, if that is what people desire. Airlines run on their business travelers, for example; not on tourists. Of course this dimension could just as well solidify after you have given your 9th house Mars some wiggle-room.
But, hey, have it your way. For sure, in my life, I would trust my own experiences over those of a bunch of amateur astrologers who were complete strangers.

People with afflicted Venus face this type of situation, however, Venus is in elevation and at cusp of 10th, you'll manage this setback (forget the past) and remain prepared for next, if any. Full moon also adds to it and start turning into other world - basically on the path of detachment (sanyas).
There are couple of malefic in first and Chiron in 7th. In progression, you came across those afflictions in personal life, few more yet to come. But + point is that all those hurting afflictions are making (I mean they will drive) career.
Good luck
