Solar return - Help! Birth place or current location?

Good day everyone


Im not really sure if I can use my birth place or current location now for my Solar Return chart. I have 2 charts here, both are Solar Return which I referred to my place of birth and the place where Im staying now.

There are few similarities between these chart, but the problem is the planets placement are totally different than each other. Even the aspects are not all same.... take a look.










Can anyone explain, does the place where we stay now can give any difference to our Solar return chart? Ive read before about this, and most of the article says for solar return chart, it doesnt matter where is the location you stay now. And it has less significance to your chart.

But other article says, it is important to include the place where you stay now (if it's different that your birth place). And it's even more important if you're just moving and you will stay for a long time in that place, because it has greater influence on your solar return chart that year.


So which one is correct? Im confused when I have to decide the place for my solar return chart. Because I just moved from different country in April 2009, and now im staying here to work. I just had my birthday last 2 weeks, so I really want to look what my solar return chart says. But that's the problem. I don't know which place i should choose.

Honestly, I would keep an eye on both through the year. I have found that where I live, not where I was born, seems to give me a better indicator. If you are going to be where you are for most of the year I would use this. Yes, there is a substantial difference. And in a way that makes since to me. If your sun is under attack by malefics it will be under attack by malefics no matter where you are as they are the slower moving planets. But the suns placement in the solar can describe more how your location will translate this energy. But I think you can see a general consistent trend.
The natal house rising is the key for both.

Thank you for your reply. So in this case, I should choose the place where im staying now if I want to make my solar return chart? If u look at both chart, both of them has different ascendant sign. And I can ignore solar return chart base on my birth place?

Where were you located on your birthday? The solar return chart is calculated for wherever you were on that day.

I agree with Katyd, it's wherever you 'were' location wise is the place that you use in SR, not birth place. Lots of people actually relocate to alter the configurations to their best advantage.
