divine g, I think you'll find you'll actually get responses if you post your chart with your post, as we all need to visualise your chart.

Just to get the ball rolling for you, Cancer on the 12th house cusp (which I'm assuming you have) does give one a leaning towards being at home and even working from home. The home is perceived as a safe and predictable place, as opposed to the world `out there', which cannot be controlled.

Venus in the 12th is an artistic placement, since with it here you have an unconscious attunement to the cosmos, and are able to interpret for us mere mortals what it is you perceive.
Jupiter in the 12th with Venus just adds to that desire for solitude and introspection.

Pluto's square in transit to your Venus is a tough one, and this can lead you to being quite hard on yourself, as your relationship sector may be having difficulties. Pluto is also forming a widish square to your Jupiter, and this is actually not such a bad transit, unless you are really attached to your beliefs about yourself.
With so much going on for you, you may have to look at the practical issues to do with survival, but you should not give up on an artistic career yet.

Re: Venus/Jupiter in 12th, hate being in public!

Good day Divine! Interesting question. Your chart does clearly show your artistic career. Ruler of the 10th, Mars, in your 1st house, usually a sign of self employment. In Leo, the theater type of career or a position of leadership.

Your uncomfortable feelings in public is due to your Moon in Capricorn where it is in it's detriment and conjunct the 6th house cusp: insecure at work, but actually hard working and again this placement brought back to your 1st house with ruler Saturn there in conjunct with ruler MC.

Moon in Capricorn often gives very low self confidence and that is what makes you hate to appear in public.
Venus in the 12th can be a good position for those who want to do creative things in private, like at home or in a rented fascility where they can work by themselves. Venus, traditionally to do with relationships (a.o.) in 12 also shows that you shy away from others and rather would like to be alone most of the time.

You asked
Quote:
"Pluto is almost exactly inconjunct my 1degLeo ASC, does anyone know what that means?"
and you also saw that inconjunct with the Moon as Apex, in your chart.
Transiting Pluto therefore is heavily triggering this Yod at the moment, by not only conjuncting your Moon, but also inconjuncting your MC and ASC. temporarily.
A Yod in a natal chart very often shows that the person has to make a very important decision at a certain moment in life. My Yod for instance, between 7th and 5th house and also with a Moon Apex, made me to choose for my own self expression (5th house) instead of marriage (7th) which did not allow me to do so. When Pluto transited that Moon, I just had to break with my marriage, also due to circumstances which became increasingly more difficult in my marriage.

Same thing is happening to you now. You must choose between your career as an artist and your self (1st house). Pluto always comes along when it is time to do away with something that is bothering or hurting us. It works very slowly at first, but builds momentum when the aspect is exact. Something will happen which then makes you, almost impulsively, choose for one of those options, usually the one that has suffered most.

I have a feeling that in the end, you will choose for yourself and go the path of spirituality which is so much more in tune with what your Moon and Venus love. (Moon rules that Venus so Saturn is involved here as well. Saturn squaring your Venus right now also wants to tell you something. Saturn represents limitation.)

If you tell us that your income through doing Astrology is better than your artistic income, and doing this makes you probably happier than performing in public, than to me it is clear which path to take. But like it is always the case with Pluto, it is a difficult and often painful road, leaving something behind which is dear to you. Nevertheless, be sure that you will feel like re-born after making that decision.

Another possibility is of course to do a course in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in order to overcome your hatred for public appearances. Or hypnosis.(very Plutonian). This might help you to get over your own insecurities, probably instilled upon you by your father who always doubted your artistic abilities or a career as such, then you can still choose for your MC.

Hope you will find happiness soon!

ALways when discussing your issues the chart needs to be posted. Listing all the aspects etc is very wearing to read and hard to memorise and put into perspective. I for one tend to skip any post that is done this way.

Re: Venus/Jupiter in 12th, hate being in public!

Divine G,

Sorry it took so long to look at your chart. I wanted to look at it carefully and thoroughly because I think it is a BIG deal to let go of one career/life path and pursue another.
Probably it would be beneficial for you to look at your Solar Return to get more information about this coming year.

Okay, this is a natal chart of dilemma's and decisions to be made, and then readjustments to those decisions. Just looking at the Asc/Sun/Moon, as Leo/Gemini/Capricorn says it all. The three signs make up a yod, and in fact you do have a tight yod to the Capricorn Moon from your Sun/Asc sextile. This Moon, the apex of your 'finger of fate' is also the engine of your chart's locomotive pattern. Thus your Moon is a very important and strong component in your chart. Steady, reserved, cautious, somewhat cynical and a brooding genius to boot. This energy is so different from your first impression, the wild Leo, with the pirate energy, and different still from the gemini Sun.
The distant, sober Capricorn Moon needs to take charge and take control to keep the irresponsible, wild Gemini/Leo in check.

I will come back to your Moon, but first a quick overview of the chart. I always start a reading by adding up the elements and modes and seeing what is lacking and what is the preponderance. Adding up the planets and asc and Mc only, you have 5 points in fire, 3 water, 2 earth, 2 air.[ The air would be slightly less than earth because pluto is not a personal planet, as moon/mercury on earth are]
You have 5 cardinal points, 5 fixed, but only 2 mutable.
THUS YOU ARE MOST LIKE A LEO OR AN ARIES
AND LEAST LIKE A GEMINI.
because you have no planets in Aries, I would give the win to Leo.

This is interesting to ponder, because in the overview, you are least like a Gemini than anything,. BUT IN FACT YOU ARE A GEMINI. lol see the dichotomy.
Thus your Sun in Gemini would not feel like the real you, in spite of being in the 11th and
not heavily afflicted.
And your Sun is the ruler of your chart, with Leo rising. So another dichotomy.
One would think it would be powerful, with Leo rising, but it is placed in a sign that is least represented and very weakly aspected as well. Thus it may feel like a mask, or a veneer, and not the powerful presence that some Sun's can be in one's chart.

Also, there is that nagging inconjunct, disconnect, from your Cappy Moon, which is in fact one of the strongest planets in your chart, although in its detriment. [back to the moon later]

Okay, you are MOST like a Leo, if you add up elements and modes. Thus your Leo planets will have some of the best ways to be released and expressed. There is a grand trine by midpoint between Saturn, the Mc and Neptune. In other words the Neptune /Mc midpoint = Saturn.
That would show how you try and release your Saturnian pain and fear from the past, by artistically/musically/creatively [neptune/sag/5th] offering them to the outer world/[MC}
This could also show your aptitude for astrology, but i would be sad if you turned your back on your music forever. I think it is a bigger part of you than you give it credit perhaps. Two legs of the grand trine, the Neptune and the Saturn/Mars, are afflicting the mercury in Taurus in the 10th. Perhaps mentally, you doubt that you can sell yourself as an artist. Your mercury in the 10th, conjuncts Chiron, squares Mars, inconjuncts Pluto, opposes Uranus, and widely inconjuncts Neptune. Those are nagging doubts that can be seen publicly, as you being the reluctant star. Those aspects work much better for a counselor or a healer because it does not take the same kind of confidence to be an astrologer, it actually takes sensitivity, doubt, concern, uncertainty, to deliver a good reading for a client.

Nevertheless, you are MOST like a Leo. It is just that your Leo energy is the apex of a powerful fixed , angular square in the first house to Mars. So you ARE a performer, and probably always will be in some ways, although it is a difficult process for you personally.

I believe this strong urge for privacy and shelter is based upon the intense Plutonian invasion upon your Moon. Hide out now and immerse yourself in your studies. It is a perfect way to deal. However, when the coast clears, you may find a tremendous urge to
emote once again, and to grind out those passionate, intense works of art flowing from your 12th house muse.

Re: Venus/Jupiter in 12th, hate being in public!

If you want to check your SR, look and see if the Sun is at the EXACT degree and minutes as your natal SUN. It may not even be on your same birthday each year.

Go to astrodienst and ask for SR for 09. Simple as that.

I noticed that the New Moon was falling on your natal Sun. That means your SR is a New Moon, and of course, inconjunct your natal Moon conjunct Tr Pluto as well. so YES, a BIG year for you for sure. You have that natal Sun/Moon inconjunct. This year will be a New Moon year for you, wiping that inconjunct out for a time while you rebuild your Sun.Moon relationship.

And YES, we have Pluto lurking around our Moon's for another year or so it seems. Emotional Death leads to a REBIRTH upon new emotional foundation.
Yours is on the 5/6th cusp. To me, that cusp represents going from the 'creative spark' to the 'finished product.' You have a lot of Leo, and 5th house, but lack in Virgo and 6th house, or the finished product. Pluto entering your 6th may finally help you prevail in that department. Pluto will decimate and devastate your previously held belief that you had to be 'perfect.' Time to let go of that debilitating belief held on to tightly by your Moon in Cap. That is also your Saturn in Leo talking, and it actually goes against everything Leo stands for. Perfection is NOT part of the creative equation. As Pluto plows through Capricorn, it paves the way for your Mars in Leo to take over for awhile, and take back it's spontaneous, impulsive, creative vision, from the Saturnian fearful concerns. :60:

Yes, your Gemini Sun does shine brightly, with that strong sextile to the asc and being ruler of the chart. But imo it kind of shines alongside a dual nature, another strong component, but doesn't really integrate that other self.
You have that Sun, asc and Moon yod, with the opposition to the venus and jupiter in cancer, all as one cohesive unit. But it seems like a separate self, apart from the Mars /Saturn 1st house, which has that strong t-square from Mercury and Uranus which also incorporate the Pluto and Uranus, That angular tsquare, battling it out in the 4th and 10th, and releasing into the 1st , to the mars in leo, is an entirely separate 'self' from the Gemini/Cancer you descibed earlier. That chatty, nice bookworm is a safe place to be, but it is not all that you are.

I really appreciate you taking time out to look at my chart, this was a great reading, and I especially love the ending. I agree with you about hiding out for now. The coast wont be clear anytime soon though, with Pluto hanging around my moon until December, and it even comes back pretty close again next year. It's like I am that "reluctant star" you spoke of, with an audience waiting, and I am backstage online waiting for astrological advice on whether I should go onstage or not!

I guess with Pluto's obsessiveness in my 6th house, also in Capricorn, dealing with time, my daily routine may be so meticulous, I will be constantly checking the latest transits and aspects before any move I make. Imagine that? There may be some performers out there who are refusing to go onstage until the moon changes signs or makes less stressful aspects for them!

Anyway, I will deal with that on my own, no way around Saturn's need to be cautious, and this 6th house of details and perfection.

Just a few things, a Solar Return would be my birthtime on my birthday tomorrow right? If so, my last birthday and this one actually show CANCER rising! I'm also wondering with my asc so close to the cusp, whether I might actually have the Moon dominating my chart? Because even though I may apppear to be a strong Leo, I actually have always felt like Cancer, pretty shy and sensitive, but with a tough outer shell.

Also with my sun in gemini, doesnt that outshine my asc? I thought that its nice sextile with my asc, and harmonious trine with my north node were some nice aspects. I actually still look 19 even though I'm turning 31, and I'm definitely a very detached intellectual always reading. And as you can see, I have Gemini's love of talking!

I think my chart conspires against my leo tendencies. I woke up this morning and visualized my saturn in leo as a big mountain blocking the sun's light. I'm starting to see my dilemma more and more as a 4th v. 10th house struggle, and the moon having just a little more dominance in my chart. That 1deg Leo cusp is so close to Cancer,I think I have to look into that more.

So please let me know if I did my Solar Return correctly by putting in my birthtime on my birthday. Interestingly, it's showing my Part of fortune right on the asc. of 28 deg cancer. I read that as me making money off of my looks?

One last thing, tomorrow's new moon is right on my natal sun, how significant is that?Could this be a big year for me? I would post the chart but not sure if it's right so please let me know.

Thanks so much Katydid I've added you to my favorites
