Synastry

Hi, I'm new here and have a few questions about synastry. I have considerable knowledge on astrology, but like to share opinions to get to a reasonable conclusion (Libra sun/mercury).

Here I go... I am going to travel in the end of this year and I have a cousin that is about my age, very pretty girl, and not sooo close relative. I just am admired by her but didn't even met with her physically, just by internet. I'd like to know if there is enough elements that can contribute with compatibility, specially "MUTUAL" physical attraction, as she lives far from me.

I have stuff about it, I'm reading "Synastry" from Ronald Davidson and learned alot from articles. But as I said, I fear impulsive conclusion or even tendencious or lack of experience.

Any help regarding the matter would be great, and I consider any tachnique, such as classic synastry, composite and davidson charts, midpoint connections, ansticion degrees, points like vertex and chiron... anyway.

Thoughts on synastry

Lucas,

Since you are not new to astrology, I will just post a few of my thoughts about synastry. In terms of books I would suggest Steven Forrest's "Skymates" books: very readable and easy to understand. Second of all, synastry charts is the same as a transit chart in terms of interpretation.

General tips:
Look at each chart individually and see if there are issues with relationships (or lack of interest) - some signs are empty 7th house (relationships), Uranus (independence) in challenging aspect to Venus (relationships), Venus (relationships) focused in the 11th house (independence), etc. These aspects do not eliminate the POSSIBILITY of relationships, but it does indicate the person will not tend to seek out relationships themselves.

In the relationship (synastry) chart look for: Sun-Moon aspects, Venus aspects to personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars), ANY interaspects between personal planets; the less interaction with personal planets between the two people the less "personal" the relationship; conjunctions to the North node (future goals); avoid conjunctions to the South node (past goals) as relationships between these people tend to hold each othe back in life.

And now, that's enough to get you started...happy relating!

Synasterically,

Tim

Thank you wilsontc. About interactions between the personal planets, I think that's very important, and this is the case of my chart interacting with her chart, as there are not many aspects, but almost are between the personal planets... the bad thing is tha many astrologers emphasize the interactions with the outer planets.
