Hello

I am also learning horary and here is my take on this. You are the Sun and he is Saturn. Your email is signified by Mercury (ruler of the 3rd house) in the 4th house. His email is signified by Jupiter (ruler of his 3rd house/ your 9th house) in 6th house.

Right now Mercury is at 'home' in the 4th house ... i.e. you have not mailed yet. You may mail him in future, Mercury will conjoin the Sun soon. Saturn sitting at the cusp of the 3rd house indicates a willingness to communicate on his part. And Saturn exalts Mercury in Virgo ... I guess he will be happy to receive your mail.

As regards his response and translation of light, only experienced horary experts can tell you.

But you're right, I haven't done anything yet... keeping myself in very low profile at the moment...

The moon echoes the situation and its outcome. If the moon is horribly debilitated, the outcome has a good chance of being bad as well, or at least not on par with the querent's wishes.

It always depends on what planets are aspecting what, as far as 'hard' or 'soft' aspects. A normally good sextile might not be desirable if a significator is connected to a hostile planet.

I'll take a stab at this chart. Here's the significators I'll use.

Your significator: lord of the first, Sun
The guy: lord of the Seventh, Saturn
The message: the significator I normally use for messages is the lord of the third house. Other people use the lord of the third for your messages, and the lord of the ninth for other people's email. Still other use the lord of the eleventh for internet communications. I won't explain the reason why I use the lord of the third for any message now, but we can talk discuss about it later if you want.
The Moon: I take the Moon as indicating the succession of events involved in the question.

Now:

Sun 20° Sco 54'
Saturn 19° Vir 41'
Mercury 13° Sco 24'
Moon 16° Tau 05'

We want to see:

1. most of the significators in good zodiacal condition: dignified, angular, direct etc.
2. a soft aspect e.g. trine or sextile between them or - in the absence of this
3. a mutual reception by house, exaltation etc.

What we have in this chart:

1. A message that, at the time you asked the question, had not been sent yet. You can see this - as Dreamtimez said - from the placement of Mercury (the message). Mercury is applying a sextile to Saturn, but has not perfected the aspect yet.

Zodiacal condition of Mercury: in the fourth house, angular, but "hidden somehow". Peregrine, which means - it cannot perform.

Mercury will first sextile Saturn - hence I guess perhaps you have emailed the guy by now. BUT, and that's the thing I don't like in this chart, right after aspecting Saturn Mercury will go to combustion.

Hence: the message "cannot be seen", won't be seen, won't be well received. Even though of course Saturn being on the cusp of the third and in Mercury's exaltation, he is interested in hearing from you.

Based on the combustion of Mercury, and without going too deep in my analysis of this chart - because the other elements are not that favorable - I'd advise against emailing him.

If you have emailed him you will get your answer, but it won't be a satisfactory one.

The Moon does perform a translation of light here. But, it translated the Sun's light by opposition. Also the only dignity the Sun has is faces. Not strong enough. The translation of light indicates that you'll be in touch because of your job (Moon transiting in the tenth house)
