What interesting things can be said of Moon in Taurus?
What are the positives and negatives of this placement?

Re: Moon in Taurus
Violent death or extreme sickness? Thankfully this is not a close conjunction. Your Moon must be at least 50' from Algol. My ex has her Part of Fortune on Algol = Poverty, seems right with her.
How do Robson's interpretations sit with you? I don't think it's very nice to make such negative predictions of another person. I have read some disturbing things he has written about myself and my loved ones. There is something in it though. I suppose I like to believe the good stuff but question the bad stuff.
I believe more research has been done on the stars but I haven't bought any of the new books. I have just read what I can find on the net. Anyway, medicine has come a long way since Robson wrote his interpretations. Do you mind sharing you thoughts about Algol, your health. Do you have a connection with the suffering of others in relation to Algol - like events (catastrophes, etc) ?

Re: Moon in Taurus
To my knowledge, I've never read Robson's interpretation. What does it say?
I've read somewhere that Algol conjunct Moon and Jupiter are not that bad. That being said, I've been strangled twice and I have buldging cervical discs.

Re: Moon in Taurus
For real!!!! you seriously have been strangled twice? Can anyone tell me that it is NOT all written in the stars? I've got to go to bed now, it's nearly 3 am where I am. I'll check this thread out again tomorrow.
Algol definitely has the influence over your Moon, dont worry about Taurus. Here's the best 2 sites I've found about Algol:

Yeah, I'd have to agree that having the moon in Taurus *is* the best way to have it; I do not have it personally but I know three people in my life who have it:
1) Leo/Cappy rising/Taurus moon; She and I have been best friends since we were 11 (we are both 23 now), now she is living her dream in Japan as an English teaching assistant working up to become a verbal translator- she met her Japanese boyfriend a couple of years ago who used to be her highschool penpal and they fell in love.
2) Sag/Cappy rising/Taurus moon; Online friend who mine who have known for years and years on Fruits Basket rps on livejournal- she is extremely intelligent, witty, sharp, funny- succesful at getting things done in her life.
3) Scorpio/Libra rising/Taurus moon; Right now he is having a bit of a struggle in her love life but she is witty, sharp, funny- very good at her studies of Japanese (also an online friend of mine I met through an astrology community on livejournal)
Anyway, it's a great position and helps people to plow through rough times in their life- only bad thing, I have read about this, is that at times it can contribute to someone staying in a bad love relationship. This is true for my Scorpio online friend, but she is discovering that she needs to get out of it and is starting to do so.

As a Moon in Taurus person I will say I can be loyal and steadfast and attract women who are that way. Dislike letting go of any emotional attachments and are sensuous and security minded especially with property. It is a stable placement for the Moon and suggest that women in the family were money conscious and perhaps the keeper of the purse. They may have possessed property of their own in a time when it was not usual. I have had homes surrounded with foliage, plants and nature and even inside the home. Music plays a large part in my life, along with love of pottery, artistic objects especially from the earth. Females in the family born under Taurus and living in the countryside. Tendency to comfort eat, especially sweets. Very budget conscious and feel secure with money in the bank which I am fortunate to have due to my family generosity. HOwevever with a square from Pluto attract jealousy, spite especially in everyday communications, with siblings, neighbours and so called friends, sometimes co workers. Also those I find accommodations with at times. A fear of dying in a car accident has prevented me from driving always. 3rd house to 6th house.
I thank the lucky stars for this placement as it is the earth element I badly need in a FIre/Air chart, even though not well aspected it is exalted.

I just happen to have a Taurus moon in my natal chart?
Positive?
Good at cooking
Good nuturer
Imagination outstanding
Empathy
Influencing others
Creativity
Sensuality
Bad?
Too clingy
Too emotional
Too sensitive
Too passive
can be immature,
demanding, exacting, picky about food.
This might be my chart only. Not sure if it applies to all with this moon. The moon in my chart is both afflicted and well aspected.

Hi, RP.
Would you care to share how your Moon is afflicted and how it is aspected?

For one thing, its at 27 Taurus so it's close to Gemini. It opposes Scorpio Neptune at 26 degrees 7' which explains why it doesn't act like the typical Taurus moon. It's not as placid and stable as the classic example and doesn't attract as many good things.
I have a planet late in the earth sign Virgo, Pluto, which the moon trines with an orb of a few degrees. Then, I have a small stellium in the very beginning of Libra involving a conjunct of Mercury, Jupiter (within 2 degrees) Uranus which is conjunct Pluto so Pluto is in the stellium, too, just not by much. The moon sorta trines all these planets. Actually it does not trine Jupiter (it is out of orb) but I read if a planet or luminary aspects part of a stellium, it is like it aspects all of it. Maybe you could give me some insight into that, if it is indeed true. It does trine part of it. This helps with the Neptune opp which can be quite profound in affect. It's very strong and noticeable in my life and in my childhood, especially.

I have to agree with you, without seeing the rest of the chart, that an opposition from Neptune would certainly deny your Moon the security and safety that it so strongly desires. I also think that your Moon's proximity to fixed star Algol, has inclined a relaxed steadfast Moon in Taurus to lose its serene composure, to lose its head, as it were, with greater than ordinary frequency. I think even the trine from Pluto could be someone intimidating, disturbing. So those are the challenges of your particular Moon.
But reasoned and bright Mercury in Libra, amplified by Jupiter and made inventive by Uranus, out of sign, bring an airiness, a spaciousness to afflicted Moon in Taurus' density. So you have an effective outlet to work with the material you have been given, and it shows well by the tenor of your post. Good for you!

Thank you for the feedback! I have not studied Algol, but took a quick tour after reading your post and am fascinated that such a wonderful sounding eclipsing binary star system has such a maligned reputation among humans! Couldn't help but marvel at that! The star is engaged in a rhythmic dance with her twin that stretches onto vast strands of time. She is a star with her own dancer providing her continuous entertainment. The twin seems to be quite content, maybe even ecstatic, forever dancing in the same revolving pattern, so constant and stable. Yet, they are thought of so horribly here on earth. It mystifies me! I have decided to make a friend of this dreaded fixed star by studying and awing. Tonight I will view Perseus. I've stargazed before but it is Cassiopeia that captures my attention while Perseus is ignored, followed by the funny little house (part of the same constellation, I think) and Ursa Minor and Major if it can be seen. I focus on the obvious!
I can't help but feel the star system is a bit of an underdog in the astrology world now and I feel sad for it. What if it is simply a bit misunderstood? It has been given a terrible reputation it can never live down when it's quite elegant and harmonious when you look at how it behaves.
Adding Algol to the mix makes a bit more sense. It seemed far more profound and influential in my life than just moon/Neptune and I never knew why. A piece to the puzzle seemed to be missing... When I include Algol, I can understand my past more clearly and certain life themes and motifs.
