You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

That stellium in virgo and mercury would all be 9th house matters..

also pluto would be 11th house

He has 7above horizon and 3below suggests an outward looking focused individual

Here are my personal recommend beginners links to focus upon Natal charts:-

Hello, I'm looking for some help interpreting a friends chart. He has five planets in the eighth house, venus, moon, mars, mercury, and the sun! I've never encountered a chart with so many planets in one house, and such a house too....8th house...sex, death, inheritance?...I don't want to interpret it...I am aware of the transformative qualities of the 8th house, I figure that all the planets in his 8th house like this are reflective of his ability to transform and renovate himself so easily.

Not only the strong focus of planets in the 8th house, also the 8th house ruler :)sun:) is IN the 8th house, and there is a Talent Triangle to :pluto: (associated with the 8th house). As you say, a strong focus and energy in transformation, research, death, occult, finance, etc. HOW it works I think you will learn much better by talking about these issues and seeing which one "grabs" your friends. As you may be aware, the 8th house is a "secret" house...so it's possible you will NEVER learn how the 8th house works for this person...as that is much too private information to share with anyone.

Also see this post for someone who has a lot of planets in the 8th house:

In the house,

Tim

Not to confuse you, but in the whole sign house system only Jupiter is in the 8th house, and it is in its exaltation. This Jupiter will be very effective but slow. The native should avoid making large bets due to the opposition from Saturn in the second house. However, there is the possibility of finding buried treasure. Jupiter rules the ascendant, and the native may be very sanguine and jovial. The five planets are actually in the 9th and 10th houses.

I have five in the 8th as well including Chiron. This is a very complicated question and you will get different comments no doubt.

If you use equal house method you will find a different chart.

With equal house it is very different. Only the sun in Leo in the 8th and Mercury on the cusp into the 9th along with Mars Moon and Venus in 9th. It takes experience and knowledge to ascertain which chart really fits him. You really need to know him well to say which is more apt.
I would be happier with a stellium in the 9th believe me.

The 8th is a heavy house in many ways.

With such a huge stellium in the 8th he may at times appear as a Scorpio as well.He does take many traits of that house and the sign of that house.

But as the others say,try the equal houses.

I too have a stellium in the first and recognize in myself many Aries traits no doubt, even if at first I look totally Capricornian.(I have the stellium both in equal houses and default)
