I think for some this theory works, for others it doesn't. I guess if you don't have an aspect from Sun, it doesn't mean you won't marry, maybe possibility of marriage is less. Also look into past aspects from the Sun rather than future aspects...and maybe in your case progressions and transits are more valid.
I do have 3-4 aspects from the Sun, but I doubt I will marry that many times, lol. The most significant one is a Sun and Mars conjucntion in Capricorn - that is the only marriage I believe. The first one was Sun trine Saturn in Virgo - and the person I was with was much older than me, it was an easy going relationship, but lacked passion. I never knew his birth time, so don't know of his ASC, but he did seem to be very 'virgo' person.
The next aspect is Sun /Mars aspect, as I described before, and this could be the person I have an interst in currently, lets see if marriage happens. This person does have a high status at work, serious person as described by Mars in Capricorn but seems passionate (Mars). Aries ASC would not describe him though, he is more like Capricorn or possibly Scorpio.
The next aspects are Sun to Pluto and Sun To Uranus...And I actually ahve aspect from Sun to Venus as well, but Rushman doesn't take this into consideration. I don't think Sun to outer planets are as strong indication as the inner planets. I think most likely a marriage will be indicated by Trine and conjucntions to inner planets, however Rusman has shown in her chart a marriage between Sun and Neptune, so I don't know...
But she also says a conjucntion between Sun and another planet is the strongest, so will be more significant than other aspects...
