Even when my brother and I were infants, my mother was able to sense these differences in our personalities and temperments; while I was a somewhat fussy child and constantly needed attention, Shawn was easy-going and could be left alone for long periods of time. He hated to see me cry and would immediatley stick a pacifier in my mouth as soon as I showed signs of distress; he'd even give up his toys if he thought it would make me happy! If that's not love, I don't know what is!
