Re: Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment
First I have to say that I have difficulties in reading books for the last two years. The reason is I have a feeling that everything must happen fastly. I think that I have to finish the book right away and start another thing. So I couldn’t concentrate on books really. So I agree with your opions about fast society.
But when subject comes to enviroment, there are a few realities we have to accept. Individual efforts are too little in the whole picture. Lots of people can change their lifestyle but there won’t be a big change really.(but that doesn’t mean we have to give up!) For example we’re talking about water saving, but in reality most of the water is used in agriculture and industrial production. So if wrong agriculture types don’t change or if there won’t be change in the type of production, then water will gone. No matter you use it less or more. Also I don’t know where you live but all the world is working for American people. You know their comfort is the most important thing in the world. Do you know that an American person eats 90 kilos meat in a year? Cows are one of the biggest reasons of global warming. And in a day thousands of “industrial animals” are cut. So there are lots of things have to change.
The subject is very long which I won’t be able to tell in English but I’m gonna prepare a thesis on it. So that's all now.
