I would imagine that the coming Saturn/Pluto may exacerbate the sense of social injustice - I think there will be more negative reactions to the recession, austerity measures in other countries, perhaps more of an unlovely tendency to look for scapegoats, someone to blame, for these hard times also...

Possible, we are more likely to see this sense of social injustice emerge more widely with the coming Jupiter/Uranus conjunction next year. The Saturn/Pluto square is much more likely to increase the cold, unsympathetic, and internal battles within institutions from November to March, and then again, by August through October 2010.
People should slow down, and learn to digest all the global communication with more depth, rather than allowing their brains to become soaked with too much surface data with not enough time to fully explore things in-depth. The austerity measures that you speak of are already underway, and as the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-Square of next year kicks into action we should see these measures fully implemented in many countries.
There are those to blame for the economic crisis, as it did not come about on its own, and is not "natural" whatsoever. In order to repair the crisis, it must be fully understood how it came about, and those who caused it so the work can begin to undo what has been done in order to repair what can be fixed before it is too late. That time is fast approaching.
