If I understand your question properly, I certainly look to the 6th for 'work' and it's day-to-day connections but the 10th if a career is involved as well as the overall direction of working life...

This is a misreading of the myth. If you get into some actual classical studies literature, you will find versions by Homer and Ovid, as well as a lot of artists' depictions.
