Questions about my job/career indicators.

Hello to all,

I have some questions regarding about vocational themes/placements in my chart.

In my 6th house of Virgo I have a conjunction of Mars, Venus, and Pluto, all under the sign of Libra and all in direct motion. Is this a clear indicator of being a Lawyer (in employment law, maybe) or a Financial Planner/Financial Analysis? Furthermore, there's also a North Node in retrograde under the sign of Virgo, could this be an indicator of something like an Administrative Assistant?

In my 5th house of Leo I have the planet Saturn under the sign of Virgo in direct motion. Saturn is in conjunction with the Sun (direct) and Mercury (retrograde) who are both under the sign of Leo, what would this Saturn placement indicate as a career?

Any vocational or career analysis about this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nathan Smith

We are looking for career and job matters and we really need your visual chart. However the 10th and any planets there are for career and vocation... The 6th is our everyday work for our daily needs and what we call our "bread and butter". If you are fortunate it is also the career..... The Libra stellum there does point to legal matters and criminal proceedings or confidential work with Pluto involved and yes perhaps financial institutions... but what aspects it from other houses will give a fuller picture. Libra also deals with customer service or one to one mediation and consultation, artistic matters and in some cases literary talents. Gives a sense of fairness and wanting equality and harmony.

The 5th house deals with our creativity, what we do for leisure and pleasure and also speculation and gaming...as well as children and lovers....Unless there is a connection to any 2nd house influences which is our income, talents to earn it and spend it and our material comforts, then it wont have a role to play in your work....Virgo is a practical, everyday sign and it may indicate an interest in analysis, categorisation, statistics and often dietary matters.

Hello to all,

I have some questions regarding about vocational themes/placements in my chart. [Cappi MC make good managers, organisers, administrators. With so many planets in 6th I would have thought service, health industries and all 6th house matters]

[all depends which house system you use. I use Equal house and N Node is in 5th house showing the children, creativity, drama, love affairsa and virgoan details, details and details]

In my 5th house of Leo I have the planet Saturn under the sign of Virgo in direct motion. Saturn is in conjunction with the Sun (direct) and Mercury (retrograde) who are both under the sign of Leo, what would this Saturn placement indicate as a career?

Ruler of the Tenth House in the Fifth House
You could feel a particularly strong sense of responsibility towards children in general or your own children.
Your main profession may rely on your creative abilities. Being in the public eye can represent an opportunity for you to "perform " in some way. Your career can have an element of risk attached to it.

[I cannot see Saturn taking any risks but it could suggest possible self employment later in life though...]

Any vocational or career analysis about this would be appreciated.

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

So from your observation of the planets in the 6th house and aspects of other houses to it, could there be a strong indication of work as a Lawyer or a Financial Planner/Analysis? Plus, could the two be interpted as professions in counselling or a service to the public?

In way of counselling I haven't worked in that field but if I'm destined to work towards that new path I was wanting to be sure of what field it will reside in (medical, legal, or financial). I may have a hunch that it's one of these three but I not exactly for sure and it has be difficult to choose one ever since I understood what the houses and their rulers represent from my own personal research of my chart.

Although I couldnt see your chart as it had expired, you can load one from Astrodienst with your transits on it...However what you say about counselling and services to the public is apt especially if legal matters are involved. Dealing with large corporations and financial institutions such as brokerage and mortgages etc could also be a possibility with loans and investments etc.

I'm sorry about these charts expiring after a certain time ( still trying to get them to stay on longer ) but I'm still wondering what are some occupations the conjunction of Mars, Venus, and Pluto reveal, especially since it's under the Libra sign and placed in the 6th house? Additionally, I've also added the Part of Fortune into the chart and it's placement is also in the 6th house under a Libra sign, what could this signify in regards to an occupation?

As for the career planet Saturn being in the 5th house while under the sign of Virgo, I'm still a little unclear as to what career area this signifies?

Any help would be appreciated.

My ASC is in Aries (governs over Mars and Pluto, aside from the sign of Scorpio) and the Longitude is 29' 43' 57', would this make me a prime candidate for legal work as an Attorney?

In regards to Jupiter located in my 4th house and under the sign of Cancer, it's also near the cusp of IC which is also in Cancer so what would you make of this astrological placement.

Recently, I've finally learn how to upload my chart but due to the identity risks as stated in the form's rules I choose to only give relevant information in text form about my chart's career and vocational planetary placements and meanings. My apologies to all who are visual observers.

I've decided to go ahead and take a chance in showing my chart anyway in order to recieve other career suggestions (10th house/MC) and occupational vocations (6th house) relating thereof. Aside from what I've mentioned previously in regards to my interest in the legal field I'm still in need of some guidence as to what career fields my chart predominantly shows so that I may purse an academic degree in or if nothing else, try to work in the related field of interest by way of entry-level jobs.

Any suggestions or analysis regarding my chart would be much appreciated.

Hi Goldstar. I'm not sure that there's any way of seeing what vocation someone would best pursue. In the past people have put charts on the forum to see if anyone could guess the native's vocation and no one ever did.

I think the whole chart has to be taken into account rather than just the earth houses. Especially the Sun.

Your two stelliums are sure to need as much expression as is possible through whichever direction you take. Venus Mars Pluto needs work that you feel passionate about. Venus is strong and charming in its own sign of Libra, but having to incorporate the potentially antisocial tendencies of both Mars and Pluto. There's something here about the passionate pursuit of ideals of harmony. If you choose to train (6th house) in something that you feel a genuine and passionate appetite for, then the hard apsect transits of Uranus and Pluto to that stellium over the next couple of years will give you tremendous energy for it. And if you are unsure of what to do, these transits will probably give you the insights and urges you need to direct you.

Sun in Leo in the 5th needs to do something which really gives you a sense of purpose in life - something which makes you feel that it's a good job you're here because nobody else would do it quite the same as you. Mercury of course implies learning and communication. Saturn conjunct Sun in the 5th house (connected to vocation also by its rulership of the MC) suggests that your sense of specialness may need time to gradually blossom, but finding a way to concretise all that Leo creative energy in the world is an excellent way to get this process going. It may not always be easy, but the alternative is a path of frustration and futility. As always with Saturn try to discern (Virgo will help here) between creative compensation and destructive compensation. Its most likely creative if you're aware of your fear! If you're trying to pretend that you're not afraid then you are probably unconsciously setting yourself up for a fall of some kind as Saturn tries to get you back on track.

With a Pluto stellium and Saturn stellium, you may need to be careful to meet the needs of that Moon in Pisces in the 12th, which is only widely aspected to other planets apart from the square to Neptune which adds to the Pisces theme. You could try to find a vocation where your compassion and/or imagination can flow, or you could meet the needs of the Moon outside of your work.

If you do law, then the 9th house Neptune will probably have great ideals around this, which will perhaps be connected to the deep empathic sense of collective yearnings of the Moon in Pisces in the 12th.

Uranus in the 7th brings principles and insight to confrontations such as those in the court room.

Jupiter in the 9th suggests that perhaps you have a deep and instinctive sense of justice that you inherited from your father.

Pluto in the 6th as part of the stellium might point to corporate law as an occupation, but the Neptune Pisces part of you may also need to look out for the victims of capitalism, especially with Chiron in Taurus in the 1st house.

Hope this is of some help.

I think a lot of indicators point to your 5th house.

Your 10th house cusp in Capricorn suggests you might have administrative ability; or at least want a job where you are a figure of authority. Its ruler Saturn is located in your 5th house. Mercury rules both your 6th house of work and service as well as your 2nd house of money.

With a 5th house sun-Mercury in Leo, it is probably important to you that your work be fun and enjoyable. Saturn in Virgo is a bit of a worry-wart, but its positive side is that it can make you conscientious and detail-oriented. Most employers appreciate these traits.

You probably would also benefit from a career that puts your Leo sun "on stage" in some fashion. Have you ever been told that you have acting ability? Your artistic domiciled Venus sextiling Neptune should be good for something!

While acting jobs-- let alone ones that pay enough to live on-- are in short supply, you might think about other types of jobs that put you front-and-centre. Teaching would be a natural (as the 5th is the house of children.) Other compatible jobs might be in sales, the leisure/recrecreation industry, (including being a tour guide) or some kind of coach or fitness trainer (With your 6th house stellium you might also be very health-oriented.)

If we get back to that 5th house Saturn, of course the baby boomers are not only retiring, but are more health- and fitness-conscious than their parents' generation. Leisure/recreation activities for seniors might just be a growth industry!

Do you mind saying what your work and educational experience have been to date?

Not at all. Since high school I've worked as a cart pusher for a retail store, then I worked as a line labor for different factories (which many closed their doors resulting in a layoff of their workforce). From there, I recieved the opportunity to work in another company that assmebled products on a contract-by-contract basis for different companies. I moved from their production floor to sitting behind the desk as a purchasing clerk performing data-entry work (to which I was laid off from in the fall of 2008). To date, I'm currently working two part-time jobs and despite all these previous jobs I've yet to reach middle management in any company. As for my education I have a high school diplomia as well as career certificates in Business Management, Financial Planning, and Nonfiction Writing from which I recieved through nontraditional schooling. I would like to to purse a Bachelors degree but I'm not sure what career field (Business, Arts, Politics, Medical, Financial, Law, etc.) I should enter into so that why I'm turning to astrology to get some options to consider when pondering on a new career or job preference.
