I think that Saturn definitely rules fear, which can lead to selfishness. Traditionally, deception was Saturnian principle too... it got a bit passed over to Neptune in later times.

All of the outer planets (Uranus included) are basically just Saturn variants to me. I realized that quite a while back, and I can go get some posts from them saying "Saturn is cool" if you want to see them. I unnecessarily restrained myself from asking "what is the difference between Saturn and outers?" Of course, when I knew nothing about astro I saw it more like Uranus = Saturn, Neptune = Jupiter, Pluto = Mars, and, when I heard of it, Eris = Venus (due to hypothetical domicile in Libra) and all with Saturn traits, except Uranus which is Saturn with Merc traits to break the pattern *gasp*. I like organizing stuff (often chaotically) if you can't tell already. But if deception is Saturnian, ouch. Mine's not in Hayz, and even then, the sect of Saturn is disputable depending on what school of astrology you're in.

Saturn rules a billion things. Apparently worry is a by-product of fear, so Cancer and Virgo can be acquitted, but of course the literal definition of worry is different than the cultural connotations, which would go to Cancer and Virgo. If I force myself to regurgitate "dream[s] of fearful things, terrible visions and darkness" and then write it down neatly and entertainingly in order to try to sell it and make a few million dollars, that's still worrying, although many people would likely find it cool. Cool is obviously not a connotation of worry.

While we're on the subject: If it's profound and abysmally disturbing, I like it, 'specially in arts and thought. In terms of day-to-day things (to normal people,) I got nagged for having or wearing way too much black a few times. And that's supposed to be a Scorpio thing, by the way. ***** "supposed."

I hear you on the outers... definitely a mashed up bunch... I do use the outers though, but I'm choosy about what I think they mean (as I am with all the symbols; signs, houses, and planets). I feel it's better to limit meanings to the core and then expand them with experience. Maybe that's the Saturn in me

I (think I) do the same thing with planets, houses, etc. To me Saturn is issues of fear vs. control and everything else about it stems from there. I have basic meanings for all of the other planets (the outers not so much) but that'd be too off-topic.
