I have a stellium in this house, everything from my sun to mars except for my moon, just over the border into the 12th house, and my yod points to it.. i also have south node in aquarius, and uranus opposite that 11th house stellium..

Wow that's is a lot in the eleventh house. I too have a lot in this house: sun, venus, saturn, uranus, neptune, true node, and my ascendant is aquarius. I don't really know many people who have so many planets in this under rated house.

I have my sun and mercury both in gemini in my eleventh house. Seeing as gemini is ruled by Mercury I feel that although I only have two signs in the house, they are powerful planets and that I deserve interaction with the rest of this group.

The 11th house is the best. Maybe not the single best, but still the best. The apex of my 2x minor grand trine falls in the 11th house. My over-emphasized sign Aquarius naturally rules the 11th house. My MC is on the 11th house cusp. The 11th house is so great because it's the house of exaltation. The planets are glorified going forever upwards, and are nicely out of the 12th house of lurking unseen stuff. It is the house of our friends and dreams and hopes and wishes (the best things in the world, at least if you're a hopeless Aquarian like me.) It is the house other than the 9th that allows us to contact the world at large on our own terms, and without any 10th house responsibilities on our mind... (continued)

...The 7th house takes dedication and really is on the "non-free will" side of our chart, but the 11th is all our own. Our 7th house opposes our ego but our 11th sextiles it, and it is the only "external" house that does. There are so many good things about the 11th house I could go on forever listing them. 11th House Strength indeed!

OK, I found out my MC is really 22 deg Scorpio. But when you look at how the MC angle works, my 11th house on average is much stronger than my 10th house on average. But I do have the Aqua/Uranus/11th house chord or whatever on my birthchart :P

I come from a family where all of the members; mother bear, father bear, and four 'babybear' offspring, all were born between 8 Am and 10 AM in the morning. Therefore, we all have the natal Sun in the natal 11th house !

That said, not ALL of us are interested in community groups and associations. However, my father has been heavily involved in such work, including volunteering, for nearly 60 years. I have similar interests.

My mother and father are also very socially popular people with many, many friends...

I found much of what you wrote very insightful, but I'm inclined to wonder about your assertion that the 11th is "our own", although maybe I can see the sense in which you intended that to be understood. Perhaps I need to reflect on the vertical division of the chart, and then maybe I'll be in complete agreement with you. As it is, I tend to divide the chart horizontally when thinking about "in here" and "out there".

The way I look at it, the lower houses are really our own, while the upper houses are places where we are "free from ourselves", so to speak. Our minds are not made up, but are open, and even coming undone.

People with a strong emphasis on the lower houses, in my experience, tend to know who they are -- or, rather, to be convinced of who they are and what they think. The planets there are relatively secure, in the early stages of development, before the more disorienting confrontations which develop in the latter houses, where we are forced to re-examine our values and perspectives in light of over-arching external influences (others, historical entities, institutions, myths, etc.).
