Lunar Eclipses
A lunar eclipse occurs during a full moon when the earth moves exactly between the sun and moon, breaking up their natural monthly opposition. Normally, the earth is not on a level plane; otherwise eclipses would occur every month.
During a lunar eclipse, the earth “short-circuits” the connection between the sun and moon. The effect on us can be confusion or clarity.
This is a great time to change destructive emotional patterns such as toxic relationships or addictions. On the flipside, a lunar eclipse can bring on some insecurity within our personal lives. Realize that all signs will feel the effects of the eclipse differently. It’s imperative to remember that everything is meant to happen for a reason, no matter how stressful or confusing things appear on the surface. Eclipses are designed to change our lives around for the better. Remember that without change, there would be no growth.

Yes, it will be at 24 degress Aquarius, 21 minutes, and makes a two-degree orb conjunction with Neptune.
I'm wondering if this will plunge you into an "Aquarian" spiritual cause/quest.

Hi, Eclipses bring changes, look to the house where the eclipse falls to see the area of your life that will be affected. Also, if it falls conj. a natal planet then that planet will be the lord of the eclipse. The eclipse on 8/24 is a north node lunar eclipse which can bring joy & release of emotions. It has a rating of 2, but if it conjunctions a natal planet it increases it's rating. Conjunct Neptune would bring a flavor of things to do with the nature of that planet. Also, planets can reactivate the eclipse with a transit, with the sun events usually take place withing 3 days or so then, with Saturn it can take several months.
On 8/1 there is a total south node solar eclipse in Leo it will be interesting to see what develops. Be sure to check the house it falls in and if it makes contact with any planets to see what the changes may be.
Cheers!

I've been interested in them for quite sometime, I had tried googling for info. but couldn't really find much. Then, I bought this book on them by Celeste Teal, it was very informative....& had confirmed some of my suspicions that they weren't always good. Yeeks!!
Cheers!

Since I'm just beginning to learn about astrology in general, I would really appreciate some pointers regarding lunar eclipses since I noticed that there's one coming up on 8/16/08. First, when you say to look at the house it falls in, what happens if the sign falls in two houses (e.g. I have Aqu in the tail end of the 2nd house and most of the 3rd)? Second, how can you find if it has any aspect to any of planet on a chart? Lastly, what's the importance of the degrees & minutes, rather what should one look for in considering the degrees and minutes of the lunar eclipes (e.g. 24 degress Aquarius, 21 minutes)?
Thanks in advance for you wonderful insight! I'm really enjoying learning about astrology through this forum.

Hi Karen, the 2nd house is about finances & may make our spend $ with an eclipse here. So....the last eclipse must of fallen in your 8th house, shared resources & debts ect...
Next look to the aspects your moon forms @ the eclipse & if it falls opposite or conj a natal planet.
Hope this helps, Cheers! :D

Does any one know the radius of the conjunct of a natal. My natal chiron is 27' 37 aquarius and progressed it is 25'57 ...would the lunar at 24 be considered a conjunt? I was unsure. ...
