I just found out that in the chinese zodiac, they determine the animal by year AND also day, and month. How does one go about finding the animal by day and month? Thank you in advance.:34:

From what I understand, it is based on the Lunisolar calendar as well as Solar Terms which complicates things a bit. This link will calculate your birth month, day, year and hour's chinese zodiac animals as well as element. http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/CFTCal2.htm The element is just as important as the other factors. As for how to interpret, well I'm not that well versed, so I can't be of any help there. Sorry.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Zodiac has more information for those inclined.
