I'm new to this forum but not to astrology; studied and used it for over 36 years, now...
Recently wrote my first book about it, too...
So...
I'll have to come back and discuss a few things...
~ Alex
Welcome Master Alex ! ;)
Looking forward to the next book (http://www.lulu.com/amzolt)...

Welcome!
An advanced astrologer, the more the better!
So maybe more information of Xena also!I named my cat Xena(a female cat and black and yes!a warrior princess she is
But i didn't name it after the planet Xena, didn't know it existed at that time, more inspired by the beautiful Lucy Lawless :!:
And who knows maybe i finally can understand that difficult science/art of astrology
(ps see that you, like me, also like the dutch site of CHTA and this site astrologyweekly, did you know she discussed your book two week-aheads ago?ooops, just a little bit over-excited here)

* My book's first chapter is called Xena and the Hordes though it may not be what you want to know--I'm in no way a traditional astrologer...
* Yes, Joyce at CHTA was very nice about promoting the book as is Radu !!!
* Of course, you can understand astrology! Just read my book...

Hi and welcome, glad you've joined us. Looking forward to hearing from you here. :) "I'm in no way a traditional astrologer..." Excellent, even more curious!

P.S. I don't mean to be biased with the ship name...think of USS as an acronym for United Silly Stargazers

As an Aries with an Aquarius 7th cusp and Mercury in Pisces, I think I qualify as a U.S.S.

Are you an Aries Rising native or an Aries Sun Sign native (or both)? As you may have guessed, I too have a large Aries influence in my chart...a tight Sun/Venus/Mercury conjunction (within one degree) in my second house to be exact. Oh, and I also have an Aries moon. Can you say, "hyper"? :D
Aquarian Maverick
P.S. I'm sure you and the others can think of many more adjectives to describe us Aries folk, but for the sake of preventing this from becomming an all-out Aries melee, I shall limit myself to just one. You either love us or hate us, as I always say

Uh...
Would a 7th cusp of Aquarius permit me an Aries ascendant?
Nope; just an Aries Sun for me...
My Saturn/Mars in Cancer and my three planets in Libra make me wince at "You either love us or hate us"...

Ugh, my brain totally gave out then. Sorry about that...I assure you that I am not usually so hopelessly vapid
But still, I am blonde :D

Dear God, you must think I'm totally brainless, and I wouldn't blame you in the slightest for this reasoning based on the terrible first impression you have undoubtedly received. I cannot convey how embarassed I am, particularly because my communication skills are something which I normally pride myself on thanks to my natal Mars and Jupiter in Gemini.
I read on THE COMING TRANSIT & RETROGRADE OF MERCURY IN PISCES (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=924) that the Mercury Rx is approaching...do you suppose I might have had a particularly adverse reaction to this? I can't think of any other astrological phenomenon that would explain my temporary lapse in mental capacity...
Again, I appologize and hope that you will give me another chance to redeem myself. Just as you cringe at my "love us or hate us" remark, my retrograde Pluto (singular in the upper hemisphere of my chart and the apex of one of my yods, receiving the inconjuncts of my Aries stellium and Mars) symbolically demonstrates my issues with control. I suppose the Universe has given me yet another opportunity to attempt to come to terms with my inevitable human fallibility

Hmm, I suppose that depends upon your area of expertise. I'm particularly interested in karmic astrology though, and I know that we never quite determined which aspects of a person's natal chart may be indicative of past lives. Perhaps there isn't a concrete answer, but I would love to revive this thread (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=894&start=30), nevertheless...
I believe that this community would appreciate whatever new insight you could give us about any topic, really

If I wrote about Karma it would be through my filter of non-belief in reincarnation. I feel that people's experiences in this area are valid but actually refer to deeper aspects of their unconscious mind.

hmmm...
How about I post chapters of my new book?
Which part of the forum would be best?

I don't know...I suppose you can post always post it in the General Chat Boards (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8) if you find that the information doesn't precisely fit in any other category

As one who's remembered portions of "past lives" since age 5, this would be interesting. Also how could karma work if no other incarnations past/future/concurrent exist in which to cause this cause and effect effect! Hey I said that well. More importantly why do you think that all of these 'memories' etc. are only coming from the subconscious mind and nowhere else? Do you believe that we get only one shot at physical life in physical reality :?:

Karma is a word that may or may not refer to actual past lives. It can be interpreted without reference to those lives...

Where else would they come from?

Amzolt, this is a very shocking point of view for most of the forumeers here:one physical life!
I think it is time you make a new thread here,so we can discuss this
By the way,i would love to see some chapters of your books and i suggest if you really intend to do this, than i would suggest:other branches of astrology.
And believe me,i will be very participating with the thread concerning of one physical life(because i don't think you are right!)
So,come on share here, and i will share too,and maybe Lapis will too!,for she is remembering past lives!

I have taken Johan's advice and created a new board titled The Great Debate - Reincarnation vs. One Physical Life (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6089#6089). What a perfect way to celebrate the transition of Mars in Gemini (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=995)!
To quote Lapis:
Mars in Gemini......this should get interesting and possibly a little hot verbally if not careful!
Let the debate begin!

Oh, my...
Aquarian Maverick is calling for a debate...
Well...
I believe reincarnational memories are deep unconscious artifacts and I also believe I'm too old and set in my ways to enter into a debate.
I will put the chapters of my book in the forum but I'd like more than one person indicating the best place to do it. Not because I think Lapis isn't right but I do want to "fit in" as best I can...
In spite of my beliefs on reincarnation...

amzolt,
 I too am too old and don't enjoy at all, 'debates'. I much prefer open sharing and discussions of ideas and personal beliefs etc. Make luv not war  or something like that.......!
I'd guess if you believe in only one life/incarnation, that that would really enhance our current natal chart and its energies etc? We should probably move this discussion over to the handy thread created for it.
Also looking foreward to reading some chapters from your book.

Sorry about that; my boundless Aries energy and sheer youthful exuberance tend to run away with me sometimes...so a discussion it will be then!
EDIT: I don't think I can change the title, but I modified the description of the board so it is also an area for friendly discussion. But to a double Aries such as myself, debating and discussing are virtually the same thing

P.S. Amzolt - I don't know if you've seen my chart or read a post elsewhere, but I'd be interested to know how old you think I am...or if you think I'm a boy or a girl for that matter. I'm always curious to see how others perceive me
