I know that I have created several new boards lately, but please bear with me...I'm simply hoping to continue interesting discussions that may have otherwise been discarded in favor of more on-topic postings. As you may have guessed if you have been following the thread, this is yet another offspring of Astrological Influences That May Indicate Past Lives (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=894).

Now, to continue what I was going to say there...

Reading Jeffry Wolfe Green's Pluto the other night, I read that a square from Pluto to Venus suggests a different sex in this incarnation to the previous one. What I find strange about that is, ever since I can remember one of my sayings has been "I must have been a man in a previous life!" (Pluto in Virgo in 10th squ Venus in Sag in 1) I am not a womanly woman I don't tend to enjoy womanly things - hair, make up, etc. and have always worked with men. (No offense intended to women - it's just me.) Maybe that's my cancer nn - I should learn to be more of a woman? One thing that really gets me to explode is for any ideas I have to be ignored and refferred to as hormonal. That's my Pluto/Moon conjunction, methinks!

This is a very interesting idea, but I don't think you should not feel any pressure to be more of a "woman" just because you do not embody and embrace some societal ideal. I do not have my natal Venus square Pluto, but I do have a lot of masculine energy in my chart (tight Aries stellium in the 2nd house) and was even mistaken for male on these boards once. Be proud of who you are and what you are doing--tearing down boundaries and flouting misplaced ideas about what a woman should be! Can you tell that I'm an Aquarian Rising? I give myself away WAY too easily sometimes

In 2 past lives I've 'ascended' already and both times was in male incarnations. I honestly feel that this is indicated in our current natal charts in various ways and this, for us incarnate in female bodies now at any rate, may......MAY, be represented by what Mr. Green is saying. I intuit this more than I can openly say, hey look, with such and such planet in such and such sign that means that in a past life you........But I'd also guess that this same thing is in some way visible in your current natal chart if you're now a male and have in the past also figured it out and 'ascended' out of 3D reality and the need to reincarnate again in a female body.

This is fascinating, Lapis! I also read someplace that souls may choose to reincarnate as a woman in a particular lifetime to gain a bit of extra intuition that may help them in their particular quest...

I will admit to some opposite gender worship when I was young. I'm just not sure how much of it was past life related vs. present life reaction to a very nasty divorce of my parents.

I can relate to this in a way in that I am beginning to explore the feminine aspect of Spirit, attempting to regain the wisdom that patriarchal religions have attempted to eradicate from their doctrines. I believe that there is much beauty in both sexes and they should be complementary to each other...not opposing, warring forces. It is a shame that things had to turn out this way.

I have Moon in Virgo, Cancer rising, and the ruler of my sun, Jupiter, in Cancer and I've always related to women more. I have a lot of feminine qualities as well.

Thanks for responding, Sam! Now we just have to wait for the others to find their way over here :?

I am very interested in the idea of a soul starting the first of several reincarnations in the body of the opposite sex...would they still retain the characteristics they had assumed for so many lifetimes? I believe they would, but perhaps the adjustment would be difficult since people tend to intimately associate themselves with their sexuality (I AM a girl, you ARE a boy, etc.). Imagine that first nasty shock when a soul find itself in a physical body and discovers his/her new equipment! :P

I would also like to explore on this forum ways for each of us to integrate both the masculine and feminine aspects of ourselves. Perhaps I am so interested in this now because I am dabbling in Feng Shui...yin, yang, and all that jazz

Here's an interesting twist:

My husband and I dated and lived together for several years before I finally agreed to marry him. He was my second husband -- I'd gone through a divorce -- and I just didn't want to jump into anything (I met him not long after my first marriage ended -- I hadn't healed yet.).

Anyway, although we didn't "fit" the same way my first husband and I had fit, it felt good being with him, and it felt right.

Our charts were not an obvious match. I'm an Aquarian Sun/ Aries Moon. He's a quadruple Cancer.

But I finally figured it out. Hang with me on this one.

On my chart, Venus and Mars are conjunct. My husband tends to attract these types -- I've looked over the charts of some of his friends and past friends.

On his chart, Sun and Moon are conjunct!

Then, there are other weird little things -- Saturn squares my Sun and opposes my Moon -- it conjuncts his Sun/Moon conjunction.

There are some other odd connections between us, but I think I'll post them to a separate posting.

I have Sun, Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Uranus, NN, Vertex, MC and a gazillion minor bodies, including Lilith, Ceres, Chiron, Eros, and Vesta, in masculine signs. In Gemini alone, I have 3 planets and 6 asteriods. I also have an air grand trine and two singletons in asculine signs.

On the flip sidee, I have ASC, moon, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter, plus Juno, Pallas, pHolus and Psyche.

My chart's definitely heavier on the masculine side. I've always been a sort of "gender neutral" person, probably due to some much air. I have some very masculine traits and I relate to men easier that to other women.

I tend to see astrolgocial images more about the collective or familial imagery we pick up in this lifetime rather that from previous lives.
Family dynasty is a very interesting thing and its simply amazing how often you see themes thru sign aspect house etc
Pluto Venus is a powerful image & seems to often indicate issues about intimacy and the love triangle. This theme can often be seen in a parents charts too - if a child has it. The parent could have Venus in the 8th or in Scorpio etc. The relationship between the child mother & father may have made the child feel she was competing with one of her parents. So the dynamic gets set up.
The child has a natural sexual magnetism with Pluto Venus & may be afraid to relate to the father for fear of misunderstanding or conversly or a host of other images similar to this.
Hades meets Aphrodite with Venus Pluto
As far as men feeling more in touch with their feminine (intuitive sensual side) & women being more Yang, the signs in the chart often show this imagery. The sign placement of Venus & Mars is of great importance too)

I'm a Gemini Sun, Sag rising, Capricorn moon girl, and I've always been very androgynous and boyish... I prefer working and hanging out with men, I even have a boyish figure, and I'm bi.

I have a very, very close Venus-Pluto square, and have never had a female friend in my entire life, not one... I prefer the company of males tenfold; always have, probably always will. When I was younger I had horrible gender identity issues and wanted so desperately to be a boy (up until I would say a year ago)...I have since adapted somewhat, but still wish to switch sides frequently. My sex drive is abnormally high, even by 19-year old frat boy standards, and though I am somewhat bisexual, I still prefer males in that sort of scenario. My doctor has attributed these "symptoms" to high testosterone levels. Despite all this, I have a very feminine appearance.

Sonta,
I noticed you also have a mars/Pluto square. If you have difficulty with women in your life, that Venus/Pluto square would be involved, undoubtedly.
You also have Uranus on H4 cusp (Father) opp jupiter and square the moon (mother) in Venus's sign, thus emphasising the importance of Venus (women) in your life. It is likely there have been major *issues* with both Father AND Mother, due to the T-Square.Thus as Mars is conjunct venus and square Pluto you may find that conditioning from your earliest years involving both parental relations, will deeply affect relationships with both men and women.
With the moon on the Ascendant, in Libra, it is likely your own emotions take center stage. The moon is also square mercury, which may cause you to speak too hastily or not to express your *true* feelings.
You say when you were small you wanted to be a boy. This indicates closer identification with Father, possibly rejection of mother and Venus.Perhaps the fact that this has lessened, you say, is an idication of your readiness to deal with the *mother* issues that have prevented you from desiring to fully own your femininity.
I have observed in other charts that high testosterone levels often accompany a mars/Pluto Square, the *fight or flight* mechanism becoming over activated which then can affect adversely, the adrenal glands.
Cheers,
Lillyjgc

I have four masculine and six feminine planets, with mars rules asc....I recognize those masculine traits...loving outdoors, hiking, not afraid of looking rough or with out make up and I tended to not recognize my feminine side maybe because venus and mars and sun are masculine. I am not sure what feminine is and yet I know that I am. I think that my early years were subject to a very southern perspective of wearing certain clothes, bbeing a certain weight, having your hair a certain way. I did not meet the criteria. I suspect that our culture has bottled femininity making it harder to recognize what our true feminine natures are about. We are supposed to be this or that or something other than ourselves. I took ballet lessons for years as my mother was a ballet teacher. I couple of things...ballet dancers are hard core athletes and I never felt that I had the body for that but found my own style. I learned that feminine is strong, very strong so I am not afraid of strong. I just have not figured out the emotional aspects of men vs women....where I can be strong emotionally, where I can be weak emotionally, when I can ask for help and when I can't..that kind of thing is hard for me. I hope that makes sense.

How can one tell the masculinity and feminine stuff?

I have Sun, Moon, Mercury Mars, Jupiter and Uranus all in masculine signs, and all forming a double grand trine in fire signs with a kite to Jupiter in Aquarius. Then I have Venus, Saturn, Pluto and Neptune in feminine signs, and these are the planets in my chart which makes very difficult aspects to each other, and the planets in the masculine signs, all 4 make especially hard contacts to my Moon in Aries....
As far as masculinity and femininity go, I have a masculine appearance, strong wiry body, strong voice i sometimes come off as a sweet and sensitive guy, but distant...I spend most of my time with other guys, and usually start freaking out around girls, whether for friendship or relationship or anything, I don't know why! But I just know that it is. I would say overall that I dont appear as androgynous (Although Mercury rules my chart), but just that I seem to come across as a total softie to others....which I am!!

Greetings. I would like to comment on Arian Mavericks' query on trans-gender incarnations.
As a life long student of the famous American Clairvoyant, Edgar Cayce and his 'readings', I feel compeled to state that Cayce in 'readings' on this subject stated that this is a very rare occurance. Acoording to Cayce this only occurs to souls that may need, for example, some sort of 'sensitivity training' or 'lesson' regarding understanding the opposite sex. What this boils down to is that the soul has a permanent identitiy with one gender or another.
This concurs with and supports his readings which were/are compiled in a book titled 'The Origin and Destiny of Man" ARE Press.
I have been fortunate [or un-fortunate] in that from my 40 plus years of Yoga, meditation and investigation of the paranormal and psychic phenomena I have become aware of no less than 7 previous incarnations.
I have also utilized the talented gifts of the living American Clairvoyant, Clarisse Conner, in this endeavor. All 7 of these previous incarnations that I'm aware of were male.
In one of those incarnations, I'm told and believe to be true, I was hideously deformed yet sexually functional...thus dying a 'virgin'...[the 40 year old 'Virgin' ain't got nothing on me!...ha...ha.]
In my last incarnation I was a pious Hindu businessman more than likely having renounced worldliness late in life, as a pious Hindu male is often expected to do, after providing for his wife and family all his life and after establishing their continued security in the world before doing so.
I have a theory that the Zodiac should be re-understood as per the energy polarity issue...I'm not talking about the issue of Male/Female here but the issue of Positive and Negative energy.
As it is currently accepted by the majority of Astrologers all Female Signs are considered Negative energy and all Male positive.
In the biography of Nikola Tesla, Tesla was said to have figured out his diagram for the Alternating Current generator by stating that Edisons Direct Current generator was un-natural.
Tesla was allegedly with his brother in Bosnia [or Serbia] at the time and drew this initial diagram in the dirt explaining that the natural universe around us demands that such a device would require it to be a reflection or micro-cosom of the universe around us.
If you know anything about the difference between the two devices you then know that Edisons D.C. generator has alternating positive and negative points/contacts circumventing around the perimeter. Tesla declared, and was correct, that the natural and thus mosre efficient device should be divided half ahd half...not unlike the Yin-Yang symbol...He stated that this was the nature of the universe.
That has led me to conclude and propose that all Signs from Cancer, clockwise around the Zodiac to Aquarius, inclusive, are hence Negative...and that all Signs from Capricorn to Leo are Positive...this then is an arrangement like Teslas' A.C. generator.
I mean think about it...as it is presently accepted you end up with Negative always at the other end of a 'pole' from a Negative Sign...another way of understanding this is that presently all Water and Earth signs [all feminine Sings] are to be considered Negative...and all Fire and Air Signs [all masculine] signs are to be considerd positive. This is not 'Natural'...take a magnet for a prime example as it always has a Positive end and a Negative end to the pole. [in fact all things have two opposite charged poles...the magnet is just a more pronounced example of this]
Thus if we apply this more natural template to the Zodiac we now end up with Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn still as Feminine signs...but as 'Positive' feminine signs. By the same template Gemini, Aries and Aquarius are still masculine signs...but are to be recognized as 'Negative' masculine signs.
This means there are two kinds of sexuality for each gender...i.e 'Positive Males' and 'Negative Males' and the same for the feminine.
As I am also very fascinated by etymology and philology I find the fact that the words six and sex are so similiar quite intriguing. That same gender Signs are 'Sextile' to one another that groups of six are called 'Sextets'...and so forth...this is not some random accident of language...any decent philologist will tell you there is a deep meaning to the origins of all words.
As the revered ancient Sanskrit scholar Shankara said; "He who tracks language to its' lair will indeed become omnicient!" [and don't forget that almost every Indo-European language has Sanskrit as its' root, mother tongue].
As to why there are so many 'Gay' people incarnate at this time...Cayce explained it as being the result of an influx of re-incarnated men whom fought against one another in this countrys' [so-called] 'Civil War'...that men were so cruel to one another in that conflict that this 'special condition' of homesexuality is being imposed on those very same souls to teach them to 'LOVE THEIR BROTHER"...albeit in a somewhat 'un-natural' way.
...all in all it's some pretty far out conjecture...but after some 40 plus years of study of these subjects, by me, it's the only scenario that makes sense to me...all the other explanations don't add up in my opinion...and I do admit I take the Cayce readings to be accurate and true readings of, what are known as, 'The Akashic Records'....while some other students of his work feel some readings were in-accurate and other folks don't give the man any credit at all.

...this finally leads to a conclusion that there are both passive and aggressive forms of both genders...[as a final note here I'd like to comment that Freud and I were both born May 6, and we both are Scorpio rising...go figure!]
