Question about a car significator.

Hi,

I have to help a friend in a couple of days, and need to take my car. Its a longish trip and I am trying to work out if my car is up for the job. (8hour round trip)

What house am I looking at to see what kind of position the car is in?

My guess is to look at the third house ruler, but I would like some clarification. I dont want to get stranded with a car miles from home.

Any help appreciated.

Looking to Jupiter,
As a car is a moveable possession I would use the ruler of House 2 to represent the car, and the ruler of h3 to represent the trip itself.

I will look at the 2nd and the 3rd as the trip. I dont think a four hour journey would be a 9th house matter. I will keep an eye on both though, just to be sure.

I would look as you said in your 1st post, that is 3 house ruler.
If you would like to buy car than in my opinion you have to look at 2nd house ruler, but you want to know is your car good "for job", that is transportation, so I think you have to look at 3 house ruler.

Not sure I am going to go. The car and journey are both jupiter (in fall),in the 4th.
I dont fancy the car dying half way there.

Jupiter and Mars are still in mutual reception so that dignifies both. See if their trading spaces is beneficial or works too. I would also look to see how Uranus is doing. I look there for engines, and machines. But Mercury or 3rd is the major travel host. Also look for lack of afflictions to the 9th since this is such a long trip.

I am kind of glad i didnt go. I was feeling out of sorts yesterday anyway.

The car would be the Second house. Those taking the trip would be the First. The Ninth would most likely be the destination, unless one of you were familiar with the terrain.

Third/Ninth questions of "Where are we going" are often personal. Such as my commute to school and work are obviously both Third house trips, as I take them often. However, such instances where I'm driving to a friend's house on the other side of town may sound like a Third house instance (as it is my city and thus I should have some feel for it), however, if it is on the side of town my usual routes don't take me, then I would consider it very foreign.

EDIT: Sorry, I have to correct myself. Not sure what I was thinking. The Ninth is the journey, the Seventh is the destination. Sorry everyone.
