the mars sextile sun seems wide....7 deg. I think...but with it modifying jupiter and with that sextile almost being exact, I would concider it a factor.

the venus aspect to saturn is what I don't get. I can see venus in 6H daily work, and then it's aspect to pluto in the 10H carrer, or fame for work....but that aspect to saturn.......odd.

The 7th house stellium's been mentioned (love of the young - merc, love of the odd - aqu, love of the personality - sun) but notice that the 8th house ruler is in aqu (mars) as is jupiter. Lot of chances for some kinky action there folks. Also see how community perception (11th house) falls in cancer with moon in 6th (his work) as well as that "love" is a work thing too (6th). The 11th house nearly totally engulfs leo (entertainment) and it has neptune - the illusion. He himself (AC), is intimately tied in with these relationships and likewise his values (2nd) is tied in with beauty (Lib) and work (venus in 6th) and providing sex (pluto) is his career (10th) and he communicates this (3rd) but in a titilating/light manner (Gemini MC - which is again tied to merc in 7th).

Had a quick look, and this is what glared back at me:

Lets start with Uranus, which sits on his DC, and from there touches all the other 3 axes in the chart. Uranus opp his ASC certainly makes him one of his kind (unique personality indeed). Uranus' sign Aquarius covers 29° of H-5 (frivolity..); H5- in Aquarius also means liberality & uniqueness of self-expression, and this in the cool & detached manner of Aquarius.
Frivolous H-5 in Aquarius contains Mars (manhood & sexual energy) all of which is enhanced by Jupiter (Jup next to Mars in H-5, Aquarius).
Jupiter also sextiles Sun (his own self), which in turn is in H-7 (7 ruled by Venus).
Moving onto H-7 - its ruler Neptune lies in Leo (Leo=Sex as 'fun&recreation') & in 11 (connection thru Aquarius to 5, which falls in Aquar). Nep from 11 aspects Sun in 7 and Jup in 5-Aquarius (note the, so-to-speak, triple mutual reception between 5 & 11; and their connection to 7). Nep also sextiles MC and thru MC touches Uranus in 7 in its own sign of Pisces (Mc is square Uranus).
Coming back to Hefner's Mars in 5; Mars is on the cusp of H-8, which is Pluto's domicile. Pluto is in 10 (his ambition, well, if you call it his vocation, in life). Mars ruling Pluto's domicile (Mars on 8 thru Aries) implies high-voltage sex life (putting it brashly). Pluto of 10 is in Cancer, and so connected to the feminine Moon in a beautiful trine (his Plutonic-power over women-Moon), and women his goal in life (MC).
Moon (woman) and Venus (beloved/lovelife) house harmoniously in H-6 (his daily vocation).
Chiron is in 8 in Aries, and did you know they say that Chiron in 8 makes you the best sex-therapist!!! Ok, ok he is more of a ‘practitioner’ ;). Also Chiron, the wounded healer (unafflicted in his case), gives you the power to heal yourself, or even others, and his is real ‘sexual healing’ ;). His Chiron of 8 is in a neat trine to MC, again underlining the aspect of Hefner having made something of a vocation out of, well everything possible related to sex. I wondered if you had the birth time right, but I checked it and you do :D . I stole the biography while I was there. Every time I see him on the girls of the playboy mansion he is always in those silk pj's. Are those girls all his girlfriend's. What's the point, oh well anyway what's in his chart. He said he felt a lack of affection - possibly Venus/Saturn, but I imagine with a Pisces Moon he would have been sensitive anyway. Sun Square Pluto fits for his controlling nature in relationships/career. Mars/Jupiter in 5th "Mr Playboy" seems to fit with the opposition from Neptune in 11th.

It would be interesting to see a transit/progression chart at the time he started his business during the sexual revolution--! Maybe that is when the Aries sun came in handy!

The saturn venus aspect stands out a bit more now......
It is the sun sextile jupiter aspect that I have to look into now.....
Mars and Jupiter conj in 5thH really stand out though.....and the sextile to his sun....lucky fellow in those two house areas.....that is if you like that kind of thing......3 4 girlfirends or whatever....(caugh)

Btw, Miss Saturn put some interesting facts on Hefner on her post, so I checked his solar chart for the year it all began- 1953!!!

Playboy was brought out in 1953: Hefner, back then, had Uranus over his natal H10 in a tight conjunction to Pluto (of < 2°). Pluto is in natal 10, so this conj with two massive planets made him venture on something that made waves in public- (MC/H10 involved), and for the early 50's, Playboy must have been shocking and controversial (Uranus involved) enough. At the same time, his 7th house Arien Sun was in a tight trine with transit Leo-Pluto (1°37'). His solar Asc was conj his 7th Sun. His 8th house Arien Chiron was in conj to transit Venus in Aries. Both natal and transit Jupiter were massively aspected, and transit Jup was trining his Asc and sextiling his Uranus on his DC at the time, so he had all the luck he needed to make his Playboy dream come true and go public with his idea.
"The stuff that dreams are made of," a favorite quote Hefner often uses to refer to the success of Playboy, comes from Humphrey Bogart in The Maltese Falcon.

I never noticed he had no planets in earth signs t.square, I will have to think more on it what it means in relation to his chart. I wondered about his material wealth in the chart and Aquarius7000 mentioned Libra ruling 2nd. His ruler of 2nd is Venus in Pisces 6th, trine Pluto in Cancer 10th. Maybe this aspect enhances wealth.

With the Mars/Jupiter conjunction in 5th this expresses his risk taking side, using borrowed money against his wedding furniture. The Mars/Jupiter conjunction interests me the most as reading up on his life he is a self promoted (Mars/Jupiter) womanizer/party animal (5th). Although the conjunction falling in Aquarius probably symbolizes his socializing side. Hefner has also admitted he experimented with bisexuality. Quite the wild sexual combination in 5th wearing civilised clothing/Aquarius (those silk pj's :D only joking but he appears the more civilised party animal.) I like how Aquarius7000 phrased his "cool and detached manner for the 5th house" but to add with the glint of the devil in his eye. Look at the photo below :p .

Virgo Rising shows in his neat hairstyle with hair combed backwards from the forehead. Also there seems to be a tidy and somewhat even shy look about him. He also has well-proportioned (small) features, is thin, and has a charming get-up on the whole. Virgo Rising also tends to look younger than they are, though Hef has Saturn aspecting his Asc. Also to be considered is the fact that the ruler of his Asc- Merc- sits in Aries, which lends him that dash of fire. :34:
