Hi all

I currently have Saturn opposition my moon(which has been real fun!)...It started at the end of November and then at the beginning of December my bedroom ceiling fell in, practically the entire ceiling so ended up on the sofa for 2 months then the week after they fixed it my nieghbours flooded my daughters bedroom and then that had to be redecorated! Quite apt I guess with Saturn ruling houses!

Besides that it has all been as predicted! Too many responsibilities...I am a single mum and the minimal help I was getting before has stopped as my sister and I had a row cos she kept letting me down all the time when I was supposed to be doing a course which we had arranged months before...this hurt as I helped her by babysitting for a course previously and she now has a job out of it so it stung a bit...so I had to give up that course and that made me quite isolated i need some adult contact and to remember that my brain still works since having my daughter!!

It feels like everything small and big has been against me and I have had to go it alone this time very alone...

Luckily though I read this great article by Adam Smith he wrote the book on Saturn Fatal Attraction(tried to find a link to it here but its no longer on his website).I read it in December and it really helped me to see the point of Saturn transits...everyone needs to become responsible and realising that is the point of it all made it easier also I read somewhere else that the worst thing you can do is stop under a Saturn transit(which is what I have always done in the past) so this time I have worked hard on my home and what i can do and let go of what couldnt be done(the courses) and my home is tidyier than it has ever been I have started to Feng Shui it which will make all areas of my life run more smoothly so that will help!

I have also learnt from this that I can do it on my own it may not always be fun or easy but it can be done...I have not had anyone to turn to so I have had to find a way within to cope whereas before I would have called someone and let it all out that way...I guess I am learning to be emotionally responsible so I do thank Saturn for that :D

Well phew that was a long post!!

I would be very interested to hear how others have coped with tough Saturn transits

Anna :)

Dear Shining Ray

Thank you for your reply its good to know im not alone! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate too! my daughter is 2 aswell and I know how hectic an age that can be! Fair play to you for managing to do all the Astro stuff too ;) and a puppy! Phew!

So you have Saturn in Virgo does that mean you have the Saturn/Pluto conjunction going on at the moment? That must be quite a heavy one...Was reading about it the other day as I wanted to see what was going on with my mum shes having a tough time at the moment so I had a loook and noticed she has that conjunction going on..I guess it will leave no stone unturned which is so tough at the time but good in the long run...

As for my house its the tidyest its ever been in my eyes but to others prob still quite messy :D The ceiling falling in really reflected the state of my room anyway it looked like a complete bombsite! It was the junk room and I never kept it nice when my friend came to stay he said he thought it was symbolic that I wasnt making any space for me at all and I guess Saturn reminded me big time of the need to...I mean when I first had my baby til she was nearly 1 i made no chill time for me at all I gave her all my energy and then realised i was completely burnt out with hardly anything to give so I have gradually been changing that and realising that i need to have me time so that I can be a better mum. I find being a single mum very hard work I try my best but I need to work on my patience more..going to start a positive parenting class soon...

Yes with my sis I have realised that I do need to put me first its a hard one to learn my Pisces moon makes me too ready to sacrifice myself for others needs and so does my Libra ASD and lots of planets in 7th house...I guess Im learning that my needs are as important as others...

One thing I would say helped with this transit is natural medicine might help you too dont know if you are into it at all..I go to see a homeopath once a month and use flower remedies..helps to cushion it all a bit and bring some needed relaxation...

Thanks for your positivity its nice talking it all thru :)

I have just had my second saturn return @ 58.I've a somewhat saturnine chart so I'm no stranger to the restrictions stability and 'lessons' of Saturn.I love Liz Green's book SATURN:A NEW LOOK AT AN OLD DEVIL.This has helped me SO much to move from negative feelings to an understanding during Saturn transits and my own chart. This Saturn return in the 9th house)saw me attending a buddhist teaching on Karma.I'd say that the return was about realising that we are 'responsible' for our life, our actions, responses, words, thoughts and intentions have consequences. Its about reveiwing whats past and what important.I saw many 5 deaths.I realised that we don't know when we might die..very Saturn stuff.

Hello again Shining Ray :)

How are things now? Hope you are doing ok m'dear..It sounds like we are going thru simular things in our lives and its really good to be able to talk it all out!

I have the same thing with my little girl I try to be patient and am getting better but sometimes I lose it with her and feel really bad...which I am also trying not to do cos feeling guilty makes me more stressed for longer anyway...Homeopathy and flower remedies have helped so much though for me to feel calmer most of the time..definatly reccommend them..for mummies and babies..my daughter has her sun in 6th house so we have gone from one small health thing to the next sometimes but I did read that that sun placement responds well to natural medicine and that has been the case thank goodness!!

Hmmn yes my mum sure is going thru a tough time at the moment she has been in hospital with pneumonia and pleurisy and she has 4 kids at home(15,13,6,2!!) and is having problems with her boyfriend...she has put up with his poor treatment of her for too long partially for the sake of money and also she is scared to be alone...Well hopefully things will ease up for her the transit ends in August..I hope she makes some positive changes...I was in a simular situation when my daughter was 5 months old and there was a saturn/pluto contact..I left my bf and ran away lost most of my stuff and came to brighton and my life has been upupup ever since...as soon as i let go of the bad stuff good things flowed more easily to me...I think it would be the same for my mum but she is very scared to let go I think thats why she has been so ill...

What signs are your nodes in? my little girl has south in libra and north in aries..its YOU time!!

I have a simular thing in relationships i can just let them carry me along sometimes and end up doing always what the other person wants til I get quite frustrated...I do need quite a lot of time on my own though even in a relationship...or maybe i have just gone for incompatible people in the past :38: well actually I have done!! My last bf was a gemini and one of a twin and he did not see the need to ever be alone and also was quite controlling he wanted to go everywhere with me and he talked incessantly AAARGH!

Hi Lupin,
Thanks for mentioning that book i will check that out...Sounds like your last Saturn rx was very intense..I have a friend who has lost 4 friends in less than a year it must be tough trying to deal with all of that in one go...I think although Saturn can be described as being controlling it is in another way teaching us that we cannot control everything somethings we have to let go of and realise they are not ours to control...

Saturn can be tough--it is transiting my 5th house where Mars, Uranus and Pluto are in a stellium and I have really been going thru alot with my kids...especially first born. Hang in there guys!!!

I have learned to accept Saturn's lessons, they used to strike fear through my bones, still do a bit.

I've also got Saturn transiting opposite my Piscen Moon now. When it first started I felt so alone, really depressed and I could not find security in my home - my neighbour at the time was soo noisy, I could not even sleep. That was at the first exact opposition. She was asked to leave a couple of months later.

During the second Saturn pass retrograde, my job ended very abruptly and they didn't pay me. That was a horrible ordeal, a small family firm that tried to catch me out and turned on me when I challenged them. That was a very dark time. I had some help from family but was otherwise very much alone. Then I had a part time job that made me redundant! I haven't found another job yet, not really looked, but have been using the time to 'work', I'm aiming to work for myself after I finished my course, so preparing for that. I see that is the best way forwards now.

I guess Saturn is showing my rose tinted Moon that things aren't always that rosey. Its asking it/me to toughen up and learn how to handle life alone, as a single entity, to build up inner strength.

During this time I also had a boyfriend that very much reflected all my fears about relationships. Loads of fears came up stemming from my past. I had the chance to see what fears were real, why they came about and how I may be repeating the same patterns as I had seen in the past. I was face to face with all my fears and realised I had to accept them, the good and bad sides of life.

The third and final opposition is coming up this July (with a Mars to Moon opposition at the same time (??), I must say, I am a little afraid, what more could he have to show me that I haven't faced? And why is Mars involved this time. I'm delving into my subconscious now no matter how much it makes me shiver, to try and avoid any surprises.

Saturn rewards hard work.. it makes me wonder, why fear Saturn transits? Does the subconscious know I haven't worked hard enough? Knuckling down now! :D

Good luck with your Saturn transits, they are all with a positive end in view.

Hi guys, as a cappy asc and Moon cnj Saturn natal, usually Saturn and I get along just fine. As a matter of fact, my old astrology teach told us a story about how he lost his job when Jupiter crossed his MC (!). Anyways, my Saturn is approaching my natal sun (both in 8). I'm at the verge of leading a project at my office which costs a whole lot more than a person of my age should be put in charge of. The 8th makes good sense as it is "other people's money". I guess I'll have to work hard to make this right. It has been a difficult road to get to the starting point of this project, when Saturn was almost @ Sun, it turned retrograde, delaying everything. But right now it looks like it is really going to happen.

If this all goes bad, I'll guess I come back here and tell you Saturn turned on me, but so far it seems that my responsibilities increase.

You definitely benefit from Saturn Rasel...I have Moon square and Saturn and I feel very secure with Moon Cappy types. So I gues it all depends on how Saturn is expressed in our natal charts.:p
