A lot of riots going on triggered by publishing drawings in a Danish newspaper ridiculing the prophet Muhammed.
What is the astrological explanation?

I would definitely say Jupiter in Scorpio squaring Neptune in Aquarius, with the Sun conjunct Neptune and parallel both planets especially highlighting the issue.

Jupiter in scorpio (as the believe of the moslims) opposit mars/moon in taurus(violent reactions)
Does mercury(the press,the newspaper)play a role here also?
And how should i read the conjunction sun/neptune?

What about the trine between Jupiter and Uranus - religious fundamentalists? Does Mercury imply they are tyring to get a message across? In the name (sun) of , ah stuck like you. I'm tempted to say its something they really believe in, it has a purpose, they beleive they are doing it for their religion or higher?
just musing

Hel,yes it isn't easy to explain. So i have done some research on the internet:Neptune in aquarius can be seen as the ideals(neptune) of the west for liberal expressions of meaning(aquarius) making a square to jupiter(believes)that goes very deep(scorpio). They didn't make any suggestions for the other aspects. But not so long ago with the riots in Paris mars played a role in the 5th house(youth) of the birthchart of France. So i think this can be explained with the opposition with mars/moon.
Personally i would also involve mercury here as the press, seeing it as a wide conjunction with neptune.
What you say about uranus/jupiter maybe:standing up for the truth(uranus)of their believe.
Don't think that is the description of religious fundamentalists.Lots of astrologers had already warned when pluto came into the sign of sagittarius:seeing and trying to expand their belief as the only true believe, and using extreme force.Well we have seen it with 9-11.
I think that before pluto will leave sagittarius,i expect heavy things with the christian belief, especially the catholics, the vatican.
Glad you are thinking with me here(is that good english?),welsh neighbour!

Mercury covers wit and youth? Neptune film, photos etc - is this the cartoons? Jup also publishing, allthough newspapers are again merc.
Sat in the 10th of public opinions.viewpoints opposing the sun, not going to go down well, what ever they did. They saw it as a duty to show the world?
Is this a chart of why they were rioting, what they were thinking when rioting? Or is it a chart of the reason they were rioting? Subtle differences? Does that make sense? You english is much better than mine - yours makes sense!!
Bye for now, neighbour
take care

Hel,
We cannot consider the houses in this chart.I just picked out a time and place to come up with a chart to look in which signs the planets were and what kind of aspects they made.
Makes sense what you are saying:jupiter as publishing and neptune for the cartoons.
See you around on the forum
Take care too
There's a t-square with Saturn opposing but out of orb of the grand fixed square. The Sabian degree of Saturn in Leo in 10/11 in this chart is:
128__(8°)
PROLETARIAN, BURNING WITH SOCIAL PASSION, STIRS UP A CROWD Leavening of the inchoate materials of a new order by a forceful vision born of repression and misfortune. Revolution.
___*When positive, the degree is a determination to share the soul's vision and to make a permanent impact on history, and when negative, futile ranting against a multitude of superficial ills

Yes,although the description seems to fit on the situation it is rather out of orb.
Have also looked up the degrees for jupiter and neptune, but i could not relate them to the situation.

okay...steel here....been watching the pluto coming to the galactic centre point at 27 degrees sag..then this all being opposed by hades...at 23 or so degrees gemini...i feel the cartoons are another embodiment of the pluto/galactic conjunction event...the feelings endendered are quite inciting and very plutonic...not to mention the squares in fixed signs...i find the cross of squares to be very powerful...in my own life as well as those around me...chck out these degrees in the fixed cross that is activating all this...und take a look at your countrys' chart...interesting view......eh?

Who originally drew this cartoon, do we know? What nationality I mean and where was it run originally? Have other newpapers run it afterwards, or has it been stopped? Just curious about who's doin' what and where.
I was wondering when these transits, and the Fixed Square, t-square, and transiting Pluto in Sagittarius touching off the GC would manifest in really obvious ways globally. It could get ugly before it gets better......

There are 12 cartoons published by several Danish political cartoonists in the Danish newspaper Jyllandposten september last year.An imam who lives in Danmark had comments over and over again and now the bomb did burst.
There is even a Jordan(country in the Middle East)newspaper who took over some of the cartoons. This newspaper had the intention to show it to the muslims and said:muslims in the world be reasonable, what gives more prejudice, these cartoons or photo's of a hostage whose throat is cut off in front of the camera.
I am wondering too here with pluto/gc and the fixed cross what impact it has in the world.
Also have red on stariq of the solareclips of the 29th of march, implying that the war could be started then with Iran or soon afterwards. There is also then the pluto-mars square, and Radu has an article on his site about square with these planets in the history of wars, looks ugly.....

Hello everyone,
I do not know how to interpret the riot astrologically, but I can provide some information about the whole situation. I'm Christian, but I live in Egypt (a Muslim country) and I'm living the situation day by day.
Last year, I think in Spetember, a Danish newspaper published an article about terrorism and Muslims. I don't know what the article was exactly about, but the illustartions were cartoon rediculing Muslims in general. Some of these cartoons depicted prophet Muhammed himself as a terrorist (as specific cartoon showed him wearing something on his head that eventually ended in the shape of a bomb).
I'm pretty sure that the picture of prophet Muhammed was just a metaphor about Muslim extremists. However, there is a piece of information that most people in the west do not know. In Islam, it is haram (taboo) to depict prophet Muhammed and his sahaba (companions) in any way, good or bad. It is also haram to show them in movies. Whever a movie was made that just had to include the prophet and his companions, their roles would be implied, not acted by people. Muslims are very strict about this, and I mean all Muslims not just the extremist ones. Personally, I believe this is too strict, but it's their religion so it's only fair that they lay the rules.
So, imagine the effect of not only depicting prophet Muhammed, but also depicting him is such rediculous way. Of course all Muslims were offended. Some terrorist attacks were done by extremists. Most of the Muslim public is not pro the attacks, but is boycotting Danish products until a resolution that gives Islam its dignity back is in order.
Here's what I don't get. These cartoons were originally published last year. They were then re-published by a french newspaper recently, and I think this is when the whole riot started. I don't know why the cartoons were re-published after months of their original depute in the Danish newspapers. I don't know what revived the subject. It wasn't even as big a deal as it is now when the cartoons were first published.
I don't know how that fits into the chart, I just thought I'd provide some info.

okay...steel here...read the most recent postaand have some juicy info to release in to the collective...on the 29th of march is a really BIG eclipse...total in nature...the eclipse pattern is thru the middle-east...check out the nasa web site for 2006 eclipse pattern over africa or asia...very interesting...also, the election in israel is on that day...the 29th of march....also there is a web site called prisonplanet.com....then there is the rense.com site...all these have contributive info to give more spark to the eclipse...check the article on rense about the russian mp and the info about a us attack on iran planned for the 28th or the 29th of march...then there is stariq.com and read the article on the eclipse with the chart for the eclipse which is set for the seattle area..but do the math...interesting times...not to mention the transit of merc in pisces...which is on as we speake..the approaching uranus/mercury conjunction will be an exact conjunction to the natal sun of osamma bin bin...then there are all of the building squares between merc and mars...i have been speaking about the squares to a handful od peeps...noticeable internal tension abounds....great time to be meditative in pursuits ...the direction is definitely inward...book of the day..hillman...dream and the underworld....tschuss...

Indeed I agree with the above but ALSO in the background -:
Pluto in Sag - ever since Pluto went into Sag various issues about religion, other cultures & religious tolerance or lack of it & extremism about all of the above have been very much here.
Mars has recently quincunxed Pluto in the heavens. Mars has a habit of actioning any aspect he makes particularly Pluto & Mars together are quite a volatile mix
As long as PLuto in Sag these issues of religious & other cultures & the extremism there of will continue to brew.
When Pluto move into Cap tho your gonna see some skeletons rising around the big corporate world. But thats another story. As Pluto moves thru the final octave of Sag one can feel the rumblings of things being set up for his ingress into the next sign.

Hi Natasha and really great points! We were talking about this aspect of Pluto in Sagittarius also on the 2 different Pluto and the Galactic Center threads. I agree with everything you said and think that with Pluto transiting across the GC too now, the global religious 'shadows' will be very visible to us all. Then, as you've hinted at, Pluto in Capricorn will take most all things to another level completely!
Hope to hear more from you here. :)
