There has been some discussion between moderators and other forum members of guidelines and how they have been unclear and largely hidden until recently, when a link was included in the description of the Horary Astrology Board. However, I have received feedback from a few members requesting that we further clarify these guidelines and make them easily accessible to new and veteran members alike so that horary questions may be answered more easily with less back-and-forth questions and answers. This is not to imply that questions should not be asked if further clarification is needed, but the creator of the thread should do his or her utmost to make the context of the question clear. This does not require you to divulge all information about your self, but the astrologer must have a decent conceptual understanding of your relationship to the individual, for example, if you ask a horary question involving them; this helps determine what house best represents the quesited and which planet he or she is ruled by.

Another important factor is to include your own interpretation of the chart. The purpose of this board, as well as all of the boards on this forum, is to learn astrology, not necessarily to receive free readings. This is an added bonus, of course, but please demonstrate some effort on your own behalf; as quoted in the guidelines (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/faq.php?faq=horary#faq_horary_astrology_boards), "this shows a real interest in astrology and a willingness to learn."

For those who may be unfamiliar with this page, I will post its contents below:

Guidelines for starting new threads on the all Horary Astrology boards

The Horary Astrology boards are welcoming beginner and advanced horary astrologers, willing to deepen and share their knowledge of the horary art with others.

Horary Chart Data

Horary chart data needed: the date, the accurate time [and time zone], and the location, when you first thought at the question with the intention of consulting an astrologer, to interpret the horary chart yourself or to publish your question on this forum. Uploading the horary chart image to your image to the Images Placeholder and linking to it from the post is a display of respect for other users' time.

Interpretation

It is most desirable that when you post a horary question, to make an attempt at giving your own perspective on the chart, even if only a couple of sentences or so. This shows a real interest in astrology and a willingness to learn.

Recycle Bin

New threads that fail to abide to these simple rules will be moved to the Recycle Bin subboard where they will stay until they will be edited by their respective authors.

Online tutorials

Several links to horary tutorials on the internet that will help you start studying horary astrology:
