View Full Version : Career horary

Hi all,

I'm making my first to attempt to find answer in a horary chart, on behalf of another person, regarding his career path:

Question asked by me (for the other person) 26 January 2006, in Cape Town, 10:58 GMT. "How soon will XXX's career take off?
Asc 2° Taurus (too early??)
If one goes on:
Should chart be turned?
Quesited signified by Mars, in Taurus in 1st, opposing Jupiter, ruler of turned 2nd (got to be a good sign), turned second holds Moon conjunct Pluto (gulp) and Saturn retro tightly conjunct turned MC. Oh boy!

If the chart is not turned, cold Saturn retro opposes the MC, and the Sun and Mercury conjunct it. However, modern ruler of MC is about to enter 11th house - oh good!

And me, the questioner, retro in cold Capricorn (but going direct in 9 days), but trine Mars (yes that's correct we are fond of each other)

Just from a gut-feel point of view, I'd say that the time is not quite right yet, but a little more patience is required,

I bet I really stuffed this attempt up, but I have enormous trust you clever people out there will not be too judgemental of my attempts as a rank beginner.

Although I must admit, I enjoyed doing this little exercise, and that it important too!

Kind regards
Susie

Susie,

Yes, the chart should be turned since you're the querent yet considering someone elses career. But you never said whom you're doing it for so I can't be of any help with selection of siginificators.

You're right. This chart has an early ASC. Also, the Moon is Void of Course. This chart probably should not be judged.

Hi Sorehearted

Thanks for the reply.

To respond to the points you made:

1. Person I enquired about is my fiance. (thus I used 7 house for him)

2. Moon only went VOC 15:24 GMT yesterday (at least that what my list says, if you disagree, let me know)

3. Asc too early. I think we will ask again next week, when some more variables have been cleared up.

It was a nice exercise for me though, and whew, I have huge respect for horary astrology, and will study it seriously this year!

Thanks and regards

Susie

Susie,

I'm not sure when exactly the Moon went VOC, but in your chart it's at Sag 23:07. It makes no aspects before it leaves Sag except a conjunction with Pluto. Pluto is an outer planet and doesn't count here I think. SO, the Moon is VOC.

Yeah, I do think you should ask that question again later when things have changed a bit. An early ASC could be symbolic for time being too early to get a clear answer.

Good luck.

Hi Sorehearted,

I've just read on another forum a discussion about a trine between Venus and Mars, and Mars in the ASC house could possibly give perfection.

Quote: "The question is whether that trine between Venus and Mars shows perfection. Mars is in its detriment, while Venus has dignity by triplicity but is retrograde, so both are weak. But there is strong mutual reception. Mars receives Venus by exaltation, while Venus receives Mars by sign and triplicity. That’s quite a lot of reception and the aspect is a trine, but I am not at all sure if that shows perfection or not. Mars is also in the ASC which Lilly says is a sign of perfection, with or without reception."End of quote

Being the rank newbie that I am, I really can't say, but it is an interesting consideration. Food for thought for sure!

Regards

Susie
