Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I know sometimes using horary for timing an event can be tenuous, here we have an event which we know is certain to happen , and am not clear on something, not because of the aspects, but the mode the signs are in as well as the house angles:

Significators are:

Mercury in Capricorn (cardinal) 15 deg, 41 minutes, in 5th house
(succedent)

Jupiter in Scorpio (fixed) 15 deg (again!) 14 minutes, in 3rd (cadent)

Now, here we have the significators in same degree, separate by only minutes. Since that is the case, one is to look at the modes and angles to determine the time span -
I've read a couple of things about this, but they are conflicting:
1) Look at the faster moving planet (Merc) which is cardinal and succedent, which means weeks, or,
2) Look at which planet which will move to perfect the aspect (Jupiter) which is fixed and cadent, meaning indefinitely.

Which is correct, AND, if #1 is correct, would that mean this event could occur in less than a week, since the dergrees to perfect the aspect only differ by minutes?

Thanks!

This is separate aspect and it signifies the event that is pasted. For future events you must look for applaying aspect in this case for example between Moon and second significator, or for collection of light.
