Would there be symbolism connected to seeing fireballs?

I seen a huge green fireball arc over top of a town i was travelling to the other day; many things were going on for me at the time personally and i wonder if it had some kind of meaning...
anyone have any ideas? there havent been any other reported sightings that i have seen so far from that night
