how are you by the way? well i hope.
anyway......i think the message may be that the people i am going to be meeting with could be set like stone somehow.....not wanting to change there minds.....i am pushing for some changes in a committee that i am part of.....and i was thinking about it more last night, and i reckon thats what it means......its a thought anyway.
your link doesnt work for me......perhaps you could tell me where you got it so i can look for myself...

The difficult thing about Sabian symbols is that the answer is sometimes obvious and other times far subtler, and the question must be asked with absolute sincerity.
You also have to be attuned with their energy; I can't really explain how because sometimes you're in the zone and sometimes you're not, even if your intentions are pure each time.
If you're interested in exploring Sabian symbols further, I highly recommend Lynda Hills' book; it used to be called 360 Degrees of Wisdom, but now I believe it goes by The Sabian Symbols as an Oracle.
There was also a website whose address I've long since lost that provided brief explanations of each of the symbols with both the positive and negative expressions. We used to post the explanations here on the forums all the time; does anyone still have that address?

anything free is great mav..........if anyone has that address that would be great.
I have NO money for books at present.....on the tightest budget ever. Although i have a list a mile long..................................
i will continue buying lottery tickets!
So i have asked the sabian oracle
"will i win lotto"?
AN OLD FASHIONED WELL 7 degrees gemini
(does that mean i have to get my "water" the old fashioned way?:( )

Hi,
This is the first time I have ever posted on here so hello everyone. Anyway, I have studied the 360 degrees of the Zodiac for years and I find all the other ones are inaccurate. I don't like them. I highly recommend the ones by Charubel and Sepharial only, as they are eerie in their right-on ness. (that is so not a word--sorry). The best book on them is published by the American Federation of Astrology, written by Adriano Corelli. This book is just a reprint of the Charubel and Sepharial symbols, which I find half the time can almost be taken literally. They are quite interesting to me as this is the aspect of astrology which I have studied most. It is my niche. Thanks. Hope that will help.

I've heard of the Kozminsky Symbols before, but not the Charubel or Sepharial symbols. Do you know if a list can be found anywhere on the Internet, or only in the aforementioned book?

I really haven't been able to find them online as of now, however, I will keep looking. I know you can buy the book on:
Amazon
American Federation of Astrologers site.
I'd put the link, but it says I must post so many times to list a URL.
On the AFA site, click on Astrology shop and then click on Sabian symbols or 360 degrees. It is there. I saw it yesterday. Later reprints is a yellow book. It is a good book. Be sure to buy it when you see it, because I don't always see it.

I have read that the sabian symbols mirror the 360 heads of the zone girding the earth in Franz Bardons work:Practice of magical evocation.
He speaks lightly of astrology in that section saying as well that if one knows the minute of ones birth then one may know which head that that native will have the sympathy of throught life......he talks little on astrology...was mabie going to write a book on it but sadly it was never finished...or started...or released.....
he mentions that these are beings that can be used in evocation....someone who has studied bardons system for years mentions that the names of the beings match up with the constelations yet he uses a cipher for decifering the names......
I have wanted to compare the sabian symbols with bardons system for a while now....one thing though......is this in sidereal...or tropical....I assume sidreal will be more accurate but not sure........the symbols go from 1 to 30.....modern astrology uses 0-29 degrees for the sign...so there is that minor calculation...but in sidereal the position of the asc. and planets move to such a wide degree.......bardon mentions that an astrologer can highly raise his knowledge of the zodiac by studying these with synthetic astrology.....using fixed stars...the planets...and also the 360 heads of the zodiac.......it's interesting to say the least.......I've been shifting more towards sidereal astro as of lately......I have wanted to take the stars into concideration.
The book of bardons, Practice of Magical Evocation, is on the net free I believe and google should bring anyone directly to a link or two where one can download it.
I will post an example of the sabian symbol for my asc. and the description of the head that bardon lists.
22 degrees cancer.
Sabian Symbol=A young woman awaiting a sailboat.
Bardons take= name of the head is Maggio,
The Magician is instructed by this head in how to put into action certain powers from the zone girding the earth and how to realize them in the mental astral and physical planes. Maggio allows the magician to penetrate deeply into Divine Emination, i. e. into the workshop of divine providence.
--------------
I dont know....personally they don't seem to add up together.....at least this translation.....someone else I have spoken with has mentioned the translations of Alan Leo as being the his personal fav....supposed to be a book out there or something.
it would be interesting to see if others have any type of "feeling at home" with the description listed in bardons book and their natal ascendent...sidreal or tropical.......uhhhh........
Anyway....bardons depiction of 14 sag:
Trade and Monetary matters, including the making of coins from all types of metals, fall under the competence of this head, He has developed man in respect in accordance with his grade of maturity and the scheduled time, he can give the magician information on all of this.
Im not sure how these work out in oracle form....and I think that they don't personally........they are beings that can be evoked durring specific times of the day........
A book also mentioned as interesting was this one....I havent read it.
Yes xxxx, try the following:
"The Sabian Symbols in Astrology"
By Dr. Marc Edmund Jones
Aurora Press ISBN: 0-943358-40-X
Paperback $18.95
This gives the Sabian Symbols in a less poetic form than I prefer but the
original book I found them in was given away some time ago. I believe it was
by Alan Leo. If you can find that one, it's better.
I might try that book out later.
I'd like to find a fitting sabian symbol description for my ascendent angle....see how these things line up......
I have to look into thes sabian symbols some more it seems.........:)
