Does our sign in mars mean something significant like....?

I read on some website today that a woman is more attracted to a man that has the same sun sign as her mars sign, and this also rings true for men in regards to venus. What do you think about this? I have mars in Gemini and never dated a male Gemini, I don't even recall ever being attracted to one although my dating days other than my husband were of the pupply love kind(high school, well over 10 years ago). So have you ever been in love with somebody with a sun sign that is the same as your mars/venus sign?

Yes, one of my greatest loves was and actually still is, the Aries man. I have Mars in Aries in my chart. in my 5th house. But then, he has also a Scorpio Ascendant like me and that is a super strong link as well. He once told me he has been in love with me his whole life but that I had only eyes for my (later) husband who happened to be one of his best friends. We never got together, even though he came straight away "to the rescue" after I split up with my husband 34 years later, we had a fantastic day together but he said he could not go any further out of fear that our friendship would suffer because of it. We are still best of friends, call and write one another, even though he lives together now with a 25 years younger women already for the last 10 years and I am living together with my partner for the same amount of time. Pitty really, we would have been great together.

Oh yeah I should have mentioned that my husband has venus in cap, and I'm cap sun. I have venus in scorpio and his sun sign is scorpio.(I mentioned this in another post but in case you didn't read). I have to say, I think that I'm more attracted to scorpios(if I ever dated again, I don't think I'd want to date a double scorpio asc/sun though)...maybe it's the scorpio moon I have in my chart.*shrugs

I don't know if this has to do with my mars being in Gemini, but I get along fabulously with Gemini's! I'm married now (to a Libra help me :p, I'm a leo), but my first love who will always have a piece of my heart was a Gemini. I would never cheat on my husband, EVER, but if something ever happened that we ended up divorced (bad sentenc, bad!), I would feel inclined to go find my lost gemini love. It may have more to do with your moon or Asc than Mars. Usually the sign on the descendant can be a really good match as it is your relationship house.

I have Mars in Virgo in the 6th house. I've never dated a Virgo, I don't find them interesting at all. The man I dated for 3 years had his Asc in Virgo though and Venus in Libra (my Venus is in Libra in the 7th house). Another Ex had Venus in Pisces conjuct my ASC.

My current partner has Venus in Aquarius. He used to be all about freedom before meeting me. He'd say "I don't ever want to get married (or have a kids)". Right now, he carries in his wallet a little drawing I made of our future family, baby names and all :D

I haven't fully explored our synastry chart. I can't help but be afraid of the negatives aspects... sometimes ignorance is bliss :(

I agree when you say it's a lucky position. I've read some interpretations that say we are destined to have a happy marriage with a proud and dignified individual (I've memorized that!). It's also very easy for me to enter relationships, but for them to be the real thing... To be honest, most have not survived the test of time.

I think Venus in Libra gives you a very polished style of loving. It comes to us naturally. The extreme of the position is that we act as if we are in love, just for the sake for love! The Venus in Libra position is very clingy; it sometimes makes us rush into relationship because we need them so badly! I think it's one of our main areas of expression, and without them well there's just a feeling of emptiness.

I think you summed it up perfectly. We go to great lengths to make our loved ones happy. I think faithfulness falls in another area though (Not that I have been unfaithful... )

Oh by the way, my Venus is 1 Degrees in Libra (critical degree, my venus is just getting used to Libra and I'm quite hasty when it comes to love) and my Mars is 16 Degrees Virgo.

As for my Virgo position, I'm extremely dedicated and I hear you! It's very important to like what you are doing. I haven't had much working experience... but I tend to expand myself everywhere (Jupiter in Aries/ 1st house) and I like to keep my options open. :o

My mars in virgo the servant tends to lead me to those type of girls. a lot of arguing and breaking up getting back together... my issue with relationships go beyond venus and mars. I have trust issues and dislike when she talks more than acts. If your words dont follow your actions don't bother wasting your breath. I have a lot of water in my chart, 3 signs in 8th house.. My intuition always leads me to believe they are hiding something, and so far all females I have dated have hid something from me. I'm sad to hear that. I thought your Venus in Libra would get you a very diplomatic kind of woman! At least in my case, with Mars in Virgo, I haven't had much arguing or break ups in relationships. When it ends that's pretty much it for me. I also have trust issues. I've been cheating on so much that I actually lost count. Venus in Libra is not as lucky as it seems.

I wonder how the synastry with all the women you've dated played out. I've always been fascinated with the 12th house, in relationships at least. My current partner and I have a 12th house stellium in our composite chart (pretty much all the personal planets are in the 12th!) So you can imagine...

I've always had trouble coping with the water in my chart. I'm more of a fiery person but I admire people who are able to sense what is really going on. It's a blessing and a curse. But so far, if they've all hid something from you it seems that your intuition is paying off.

In contrast, I always find out last about things like that! In the end, all the fire in my chart seems to intensify my feelings and turn them inward. I'm never mad at them for lying to me, but at myself for being such a fool!
