Hello All

I'm not quite sure if this should be here or in the horary section but I want to ask if it is possible to tell from a chart if it will be safe for you to drive.

You see, I do drive( have done for 15 years) but I don't drive on motorways (find then scary - not being in the right lane an coming off at the wrong place bothers me a lot) and I get lost if I drive anywhere I don't know and get myself into a real state! I have a terrible sense of direction and find the whole thing really stressful and so do not travel to many places I would like to.
Consequently, I find that my life is very restricted and it gets me down that I find it so difficult. I have this feeling that this is the way it's supposed to be and that it may be dangerous for me to drive anywhere but places that I feel safe driving to. I'd like to know if this is so or if I'm wrong and just restricting myself through my own fears. I'm also scared that I'd harm somebody else too because I panick when I get lost or take a wrong turning etc. There have been times when I've had to travel somewhere for work purposes ie a conference or something and I'll either take someone with me and do a few 'dummy' runs or get the train if I feel it's really impossible because it's too far.

So, I would like to know :'Is it safe for me to drive'. I don't know if this would be a horary question or perhaps the natal chart may show the answer to this. The time is now 14.55 and I'm at Liverpool, England and my birth data is June 28 1955 Liverpool England at 07.05 hours.

Thanks
Mia

Driving isn't safe for anyone, I think. It all depends on both your skills as a driver and on plain luck.
Also, one time or another if you drive a lot, chances are to be involved in an accident, with or without being injured.
Like all accidents and incidents, if you do the right thing, that is, drive well and safely, most likely you won't have any problems.
However, and here comes the luck part, as there is that Mars-Uranus conjunction in the natal chart, it is advised not to drive too far when that conjunction is triggered by hard aspects of transiting planets (0, 45, 90, 135, 180 deg) - look for Mars in the first place, then the Sun and maybe Mercury.

Wishing you safe drive.

Mia,

You have a bundle chart. According to Tracy Marks of The Art of Astrological Chart Interpretation:

Bundle pattern - "All planets are contained within a trine - 120 degrees, or...a maximum of 130 degrees...self-contained, focused personality who resourcefully concentrates...[their] energy upon a limited area of life, indicated by the signs and houses occupied by planets...This individual...has the capacity to develop...[their] resources to the utmost. The...[the first planet to have crossed the ascendant, moving clockwise] often indicates energy which may be used to achieve in the area of life indicated by the far midpoint of the bundle."

So you are driven to develop the area of your bundle. And, since most of your bundle falls in the bottom left of your chart, you are driven to develop youself and your inner world. A challenge, as you know, is you are driven to achieve in 8th house issues (transformation, also death), since the 8th house is at the "the far midpoint of the bundle". And the energy driving this is Uranus (friends, also rebellion, impulse), since Uranus is "the first planet to have crossed the ascendant, moving clockwise". This does NOT mean you are going to die from driving your car. But it DOES mean that your are INTENSELY aware of death and impulse issues.

However, you have Sagittarius (expansion, also far travel) modifying North node (future goals), so your life FORCES you to travel to distant places: places which you have to take SOME type of vehicle to get to. In order to help you do more "far travel" maybe your can EXPAND on your "friendly approach". Decide on where you would like to go which you haven't gone, and car pool with a friend. Or buy a ticket there on a bus/train/plane, etc. so you can travel without the bother of having to bother someone! ;)

One last thing, you ALSO have Mercury (short distance travel, automobiles) conjunct (energy is combined with) South node (past), so it is possible that insisting on doing car travel is holding you back and keeping you doing short trips. Instead, look into alternative means of travel and...get out there!

Traveling,

Tim

:) Hello

Thanks to you both for your insight and comments. I can really relate to some of the stuff you have discussed. (especially, 'intensely aware of death and impulse issues' not very healthy eh, I need to get over this don't you think! ) I think, with the plans I have for this year, I will be travelling more than normal and have decided I NEED to do this to enable me to follow the path I want to. I will use trains and car share as I will be in a position to do this and not focus so much on my driving inadequacies! I may have some motorway driving lessons, I'll see. I'll keep in mind the Mars/Uranus stuff too.

Many thanks
Mia

I see I'm not the only one waiting for their liscence

However, I have a similar fear of driving and all of its responsibilities...my biggest fear is getting into an accident and seriously injuring someone.

Though I suppose we should all concentrate our energies on positive visualization instead of worrying, because we tend to manifest in our lives exactly what we expect to happen.
