Hi,
I am a Libra with an Aries girlfriend. My seventh house is occupied by Saturn, in exact conjuntion wtih her Mars, in Cancer. The rest of the synastry is pretty stimulating, but this Mars-Saturn is becoming difficult to handle (she seems to me selfish and offensive, whereas she finds me stifiling and, well, saturnian). i wonder if there is something i can do to make her aware that my saturn fears need more pretection than challenge, or if I should just let go, which I hate, because I feel really responsible for keeping the two of us together.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

The conjunction of Mars and Saturn in synastry is best understood when you consider the individual energies of these two planets. The qualities of the sign that Saturn occupies points to expressions that do not come naturally to Saturn. Saturn feels awkward or inhibited expressing the energies of the sign, and often will try to compensate by trying to exercise control over these characteristics in his or her personality. In contrast, the characteristics of the sign that Mars occupies are expressed fully, naturally, and with enthusiasm! You can only imagine what this means in a relationship. If both individuals are considerate of each other, and are growth-oriented, the relationship can be a great learning experience. For example, if the conjunction occurs in Aries, the Mars individual will take action, and express his or her "me-first" tendency freely and unabashedly. Aries, quite simply, comes naturally to Mars! Saturn, on the other hand, feels unnatural expressing these traits. Perhaps Saturn feels guilty when taking the lead. Where Mars rushes right in, Saturn carefully appraises the situation before he goes into it, if he doesn't withdraw from it altogether. Mars can have much to learn from Saturn—Mars can learn how to think a little before acting, and tone down his or her aggressiveness and impatience. As well, Saturn has much to learn from Mars. Saturn may secretly long to be just like Mars, going after what it wants without fear of failure. from http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/synmarssaturn.html
Mars conjunct Saturn Saturn tends to restrain Mars in this pairing, endeavoring to channel Mars into disciplined, purposeful work, especially along career and status lines. The Mars effect on Saturn is to help overcome unnecessary fear and inertia. Although these are two rather difficult planets to have in conjunction, in mature individuals they can work together to assist each individual, though there is likely to be somewhat opposing forces involved in the involvement of the pairing. This is not very favorable for marital relations because it can produce mutual conflict, jealousy, and resentment, and sometimes law suits. In marriages, the aspect usually denotes an obligation or a tone of responsibility associated with the match.http://www.astrology-numerology.com/synastryaspects.html#Mars%20conjunct (http://www.astrology-numerology.com/synastryaspects.html#Mars%20conjunctim)

Here are the synastry and composite chart, i wonder what you can make of it, memento mori..
he comments you have made born out in the composite.
the saturn/sun conjunction shows your saturnine quality and the pluto square the sun increases the feeling of oppression.
mercury conjunct venus gives a affectionate and open feeling to the relationship but the opposition to saturn/sun would tally with her feelings of being stifled.
with the moon square to uranus ,your natures are opposite.she's up and your down.
as for continuity, the uranus square the ascendant and the mars/jupiter midpoint opposed to uranus and square the moon bode ill for this working out .
the mars opposed to neptune does indicate that yur influence brought this together but by "devious" or "deceptive" means.you do have a certain control over the relationship but the explosive dialectic of uranus and saturn is too much to overcome.

The chart you linked to shows her on the inside, so we can also see that this conjunction falls in her 4th house.
You might also consider that your Suns are in opposite signs, your Moons are inconjunct by sign (Libra and Taurus), and your Ascendants are square by sign (Sagittarius and Pisces).
I don't know about other members, but I find such charts extremely hard to read. There are no degrees, so there is no way to look at the chart except very generally.
