Insightful regarding "too-nice" tendency of NN aries folks....

From astrodienst web site:

The well-known German astrologer Thomas Ring taught that the northern node shows where subconscious contents can become accessible, whereas the southern node shows where conscious awareness can sink back into the depths of the unconscious.*

:o Hi ALL y'all ASTROLOGERS!

I'm moving this quote from AquariusMoon over here:

I'm glad you like and are familiar with the Spiller book. I can't say enough about it. I'm going to read it again. The NN is the most sensitive spot in my chart, but I'm amazed when I hear others talk about having the same problem over and over again, and then I read about their NN, and there is where the problem lies. I think the NN is the first place to look in a chart. It can tell you a lot about a person. Some people have it mastered.

There's more I'll post as soon as I find it in my snowstorm of research
in my library here.....

Now...where did I put that.....

:?: :!:

Any other thoughts out there?

PS This is my 111 post.....for those who are having 1111 experiences....

Hello C1,

Any other thoughts you asked?

Well,I red something about the north-/southnode this week...

An horoscope that you can also make, and it looks like the persona charts,is a draconic chart.
(The tail of the dragon is the southnode, the head of the dragon is the northnode)
The technique is:you take the distance of a planet in your birth chart from 0Aries and add that to the southnode of your birthchart.
For instance: you have got saturn in your birthchart at 16 taurus, and your southnode in your birthchart is 17 gemini. The new "place"of saturn then would be 46 degrees added to 17 gemini,so it would be then 3 leo

This new chart stands for the old personality you had the last time you were on earth, and now you gotta show this personality on earth and when you get older,to let go this personality and overcome the 'bad'qualities.
Now it's the meaning to move to your northnode, from with you can also make a chart, taking the opposit degrees of the draconic chart.

These charts are not the substitution of the birthchart, but an extra layer

Well,I hope my english was not too bad,and I don't know if draconic is the english word for ''çoncerning the dragon'

For me personally I am not going to work with this chart yet, because I have already made the persona charts, and I haven't got an idea of how to interpret them, although I have red the theory of it

Maybe an idea for another thread:how to interpret the persona charts(just an example:if you have the persona chart for mercury and saturn is in the 6th house making a trine with jupiter,i really don't know how to interpret this, although I know now the meaning of houses, planets, signs and aspects pretty well, I think like most of the people in this forum)

But that is what this forum is for,to learn,so I will try to be patient with my Aries-sun!!!!

C1,DON'T FREEZE IN YOUR LIBRARY :D

Has anyone else ever made the mistake (?) of thinking that someone's South Node SIGN is actually their ASC Sign? This of course, before you've gotten their Natal done.

I've done it 3 times over the years which really got me much more focused on the Nodes and that they really are far more important than we give them credit. If some people's South Nodes are that prominent, that strongly conscious and functioning as to think that that South Node in let's say Taurus is their ASC in Taurus......well that's some very strong energies!

Each time I made this mistake (I don't really think it was a mistake, I just saw, heard and felt these peoples S. Nodes loud and clear) I was surprised when I did finally get their Natal Charts infront of me. Not a one of them ended up having the same Sign ASC as their South Node's. Interesting huh?

Our South Nodes must carry a lot more 'weight' with them than we'd guess, which at the same time indicates we're NOT in our North Nodes nearly enough. I know I have no difficulty effortlessly sliding over to my South Node and getting all settled-in again! When I do dig my way back out of it and crawl over to my North Node and sit for a bit and take in the view........I feel so much better!!! But it takes work, conscious work for me at least to remain in my North Node.
************************************************** ***********
I posted this on another "node" thread in the Karmic Astrology forum awhile back. I too believe that the North and South Nodes carry a lot of weight and influence, and, it's so easy to not give them enough thought and attention!

My North Node is 2 degree's off my ASC in the 1st house and I feel that this is another very important area in my chart. If the Node's are on angles then this must add even more focus to them I'd think. Sort of like serious integration time.

I remember AquariusMoon recommending this book before and I intend to get it soon. Have you noticed C1 how easy it is to slide back into your South Node out of sheer familiarity?

Funny you mention this lapis,my southnode is conjunct my ascendant,so my northnode is conjunct my descendant!

johan,

Aaaahhh that ol' Yin/Yang thingy! What Sign and House is your South Node in and is it the same as your ASC? Is it conjunct your ASC from the 1st house or the 12th?

BTW........I want to say to all of you folks here that speak, read, AND write more than one language......well http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/2070/bowdownemo5dz.gif you all are amazing and I'm very envious! I have enough trouble with my native english, forget about any other's!

Hi Lapis. I have an interesting situation with my nodes where I have the ruler of my south node (venus) very close to my north node (Scorpio) on the Midheaven. Topping this off, they are square Pluto in the 7th. So it seems in my interpretation that I need to go back to go forward...Past life relationships seem to be very important this time around.

Hi Kite,

I'm looking at your chart after reading what you just said and it does look and feel like this life is having to transform old actions with some relationships. Women, respect, true values, sex/money/death/taxes  , healings, Love, Scaredness, taking it all to lofty Scorpio conjunct the MC. One of your main life's missions it seems. And isn't there a connection back to the 8th house with Libra there?

And square Pluto in Virgo (0 degrees) in 7. I can hardly wrap my brain around Pluto being 0 degree anything......it just seems so intense, and in Virgo, I can almost hear Persephone screaming and running for all she's worth! :)

Indeed Lapis. My saving grace is the Sabian degree for my Pluto.

151__(1°)
IN A PORTRAIT THE BEST OF A MAN'S TRAITS ARE IDEALIZED The shaping power of idea or ideal over outer form and behaviour. Completeness of realization. Pure aggrandizement. Intent.
___*When positive, the degree is an effective self-assurance and an ever-clear vision of each emerging opportunity in life, and when negative, inordinate vanity and a consistent overestimation of individual capacities.

The only problem with this ongoing refinement is that I feel like I will wake up someday having refined myself into a dustpile. :)

8) Hi Kite,

Responding to Pluto
in 7th house, 0 degree of Virgo,
square Ve cj N Node cj Midhaven,

something speaks to me about the power
of this combination....

7th house is powerful because of its
"higher" aspect of relationship to ASC =

it's facing the ASC head-on.

7th house is "PARTNERS" --

and 0 degree Virgo is very close to the fixed star REGULA (did
I spell that correctly?) -- so,

what does the North Node conjunction with Venus

in light of all the above

begin to say about you?

And, ps.,
did you feel a shift in energy yesterday?

Just curious, because many of the people
I'm in communication with
did.

Interested...

CI - I would think it would say that relationships, 1:1 enounters are very important both to me and the encounteree (how's that for a word).

I think it's also helpful to look at the opposing Sabian degree of my Pluto which would be 1 Pisces: 331__(1°)
LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON: CROWDS FILL THE PUBLIC MARKET The social nature of human responsibilities. A last-moment,joyous rallying to a task. Seed synthesis at end of cycles.
___*When positive, the degree is an exceptional capacity for organizing the converging and conflicting interests of many people in practical arrangements of mutual benefit, and when negative, complete insensibility to any over-all welfare.

So what this Sabian interpretation says to me is that my encounters need to be based on mutual benefit and that I must find ways to find the common interest among those I deal with. This indeed is what I do in my day job.

I'm not sure about Regula..spelling or interpretation. I'm happy to hear what you might add to what I've said here though..I feel like I'm getting a massage when people interpret my chart

As far as dhift in energy yesterday, yes I felt a definate change..I had to take a nap around 4 and slept until about 6:30 then I couldn't sleep last night until around 3:00 am. I feel a little more grounded and less amped up today then I've been feeling for the last several days.

Regulus

Regulus enters the sign Virgo in 2012 AD

...from this interesting web page:

http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/Regulus.html

In our common, daily lives, the universe gives us everything
we need to be enlightened, I reckon. So, my focus has been
directed to various places; currently it is the fixed stars....and
I'm curious why there is not much info on this web page re:
Pluto cj Regulus?

I'm listening to Celia Cruz now....a miracle.
Viva Celia!

Appreciating your insights and responses re: partnerships.

************
BTW, yesterday was Mars opposite Jupiter and my friend was
feeling sad because an acquaintance of hers was giving
away her dog, named Jupiter, a beautiful, loving, gorgeous,
chocolate lab with a long, sinuous body and long tail -- truly
a delicate handsome dog, who looks into your eyes with
his brown eyes -- and who is a dog-friend of her chocolate lab dog Rufio.

Anyway, there were 3 dogs here yesterday, and
one of them was Jupiter and one was Rufio (he's "Mars" -- reddish
in color, and a devilish/wild/fun personality) and
the 3rd dog was an intellectual hound named Shady, who
stood up on his hind legs, with font paws
on the kitchen counter
when my housemate stepped outside
for just a second to say goodbye and thanks to the nice
guy who was taking Jupiter to live with him and his dog for
a couple months --
---
and when she came back inside she found that
that "shady" character, Shady the dog,

had eaten the lasagna she had just prepared and left
in a pan on the counter --
Shady just couldn't stop himself from
standing up to the counter and just slurping it
up -- then running and hiding in the back yard!!

we all laughed and forgave and somehow, when
the three housemate women got together last
evening before we retired to our rooms, all
the stuck energy of months suddenly shifted
and today it is cooperative and
somehow
deeper.

I hope so CI.

Interesting about Regulus. 2012 conjunction huh? That will go well with the Uranus transitting exact to my natal moon and whole lot of other fun things then.
