There's his chart. I just saw on the news he's in the hospital... with massive organ failure.

The Sun is currently opposing his natal Pluto. Also, Chiron is squaring Chiron.

I think the 8th house represents death... but not much seems to be going on with his 8th house, so maybe nothing will happen.

His solar return 2005/2006 reflects Saturn on the 6th house which can be interpreted as a stressor on health issues. Triggers to the SR can occur as early as 3 months prior to start date of a SR. Also note the 12th house and the planets there. I am uncomfortable using any sort of astrology when predicting death. But here check out the solar return per astrodienst:

Astrology aside, if indeed the news being reported is factual; (lets not forget the news reporting and the W. Virginia miners and the illness/death of Arafat), and Sharon has suffered a stroke affecting his brainstem, medically if he can survive and breathe on his own again, then he just beat a lot of odds against him. Roughly only 20% of the population who suffer a stroke affecting brainstorm survive. Even with survival he wouldnt be able to continue in office.

I would be curious to hear Theo's input on this news and his predictions for this coming spring. Sharon stepping aside in power due to death or debilitation and thus power to another, where will this leave Isreal? The country is in the midst of a lot of transitions and reforms at this time, along with upcoming elections.

What I find interesting is that transiting Uranus is almost exactly conjunct his natal Sun, in a separating aspect. His natal Mercury is also conjunct his Sun. It is almost like the lower brain/mind is battling his higher brain/mind for transmission of what his soul is supposed to do this lifetime.

This is having a greater impact on the collective unconscious (12th house) of Israel than on its collective conscious. Sharon is in a very similar position to Richard Nixon when the latter went Russia and China. Only Sharon could really hand back Gaza and dismantle settlements and still appear strong to his people. If a Democratic president had first opened the doors to Russia and China, his sympathies and loyalties would have been questioned. Richard Nixon, the ardent anti-Communist from the House Un-American Activities Committee, had "proven" where is loyalty was and therefore could be a standard bearer for better relations with Russia and China, just as Sharon has been the last year or so for the Palestinians.

How is it going to turn out for Sharon? It may be dependent on the way transiting Venus Rx energizes his natal Capricorn Mars, which barely sits beyond the cusp of his 11th house ar 29° 13'. His natal Venus normally would just be out of orb for me to consider it as conjunct to his natal Mars, however transiting Chiron is sitting conjunct between them, thus bringing them into conjunction. I think that this stellium will have a strong effect on how things play out.
