Assertiveness

I'm more new to astrology than most on here- just now learning to read the charts and slowly finding out how to put them together.

Everything I have gotten from my chart- based primarily on my sun/moon/asc is how strong of a person I am supposed to be. I am curious as to whether or not these particular signs work against one another in some aspects, though.


Could someone help me with the lesser planets and signs, working with them and how I might be able to channel more control in a situation?

I am new myself, and I find that reading astrology books has been so helpful, even more is this forum!
I am reading aspects in astrology by sue tompkins and then I read some of steven arroyos books...really great and insightful!
Here I go with my analyisis...
mars is near your ascendant, which is in fiesty aries!
this placement shows that your mask like your ascendant is one of action, ready for a fight at anytime...You may view the world as competitive!
This placement also may show that you may have been born into a violent atmosphere, or just one that was assertive! So you have fiesty aries and then fiesty mars all together! Wow!
Then I take a look at your moon, as your moon can soften these placements and your moon is in Leo, another showy "look at me" sign.
Really you have great leadership abilities and a go get it attitude...you are young so to be able to assert yourself in a positive way may be trying for you.
Your mars and saturn are not friends so to speak, as they are square. So learning how to assert yourself may be hard as you dont know what is too much, and this may make others see you as being aggressive vs assertive. To enable this energy positively is your lesson, as saturn is the one to teach lessons!
It seems like friendly sports would be a nice outlet for you, or being careful as you seem like the type that can have accidents, because you are so courageous, even at times where you should not be. :)
You also have a lot of strength with your mars placement! So whatever you do in life know that you have it in you do accomplish anything!
Career wise speaking you have neptune on the MC which can make for many changes in your career patterns, maybe doing some sort of career where you fight for others rights would be of interest?

Another advice in looking at charts, and by no means am I great and wonderful yet, but looking at the question...find the planet that represents that...like if someone says I am sad all of the time...look to the moon, where one feels emotions, then look at the house placement, then look at the contacts the moon makes with the sun.
I think you are on the track I was a few months ago...look at the sun, moon and ascendant...get to know those well then move onto another planet...take them one by one...
