Here is the wedding day chart of my husband's best friends. They are experiencing some serious turmoil right now. I wonder what if anything you could surmise from their wedding chart. I note that Venus and Mars are closely conjunct in leo but there are so many tight oppositions and squares from personal planets. Most of the planets are in 8 and 2, none in 7 or 5. They are both high powered professionals but he is sort of quiet and withdrawn and she is extremely intense and emotional ( a bit high strung).

IndigoEyes,
The thing that "jumps out" to me are the MANY oppositions between the 2nd house (physical, also money, values) and the 8th house (other people's "physical", also other people's money, other people's values). This seems to indicate a fight over what is "mine" vs. what is "yours". Pluto rules both the 8th house and Scorpio, so the focus (by Easy Opposition) to Pluto conjunct (energy is combined with) a Scorpio Ascendant (self) re-emphasizes this conflict. They may have differing values or be fighting over their marital resources.
Guessing,
Tim
First thing that comes to mind is that Pluto rising in Scorpio. This is a marriage, not a nuclear power plant... Then, Pluto is in square with Mars - that brings in a great deal of power struggles or even violence at home.
The lunar cycle is at its lowest (a day before New Moon), which is really bad in terms of relationship growth and development - so this marriage isn't gonna evolve, just get worse. Besides, the Moon is combust, due to being too close to the Sun, also it is conjunct Chiron and in opposition with Saturn. As the Moon is so very important in people's lives, it refers to intimacy, familiarity, and the like, so it means that this marriage wasn't supposed to last, as in time the two spouses will feel less and less for each other, their relationship will cool down.
Venus, the love & marriage planet, is peregrine and cadent (so it's quite powerless), applying to a square with Pluto and then a conjunction with Mars. At least sex was interesting for a while, I'm unsure if that still stands now, as the Moon is in opposition with Saturn and that's pretty restrictive.
Juno, the formal marriage asteroid, is well aspected and well placed at 11 Virgo, so this marriage might have been a good idea only from a social standpoint.

Wow. Interesting. The whole 8/2 house thing is on target as there is a money ownership pull and tug going on there from day one. She came from family wealth; he did not. I believe they met through parents, sort of an arranged deal. They both have tempers but she is more hair trigger and he is slow smolder. The thing that always sticks out in my mind the most is how they project socially as a couple versus the authentic situation in the home. The other thing is she has radically altered her appearance during the marriage going from this sort of Hollywood gorgeous dyed thin blond green contacts wearing look to much heavier, naturally curly red hair , eye glasses and almost matronly looking. Very odd. They have two teens and her family seems pretty involved in their lives.

To construct a wedding day chart, do you use the hour SCHEDULED to start the ceremony or the actual hour when the ceremony STARTED?
The top moment: "I now pronounce you man and wife"... or similar. That's when the marriage is official.

Wow. Well then if you're trying to choose a date for a wedding (electional chart, that is), how do you make sure that the top of the moment comes at the hour of your choice?
This way: I choose the best time & date and tell that to the clients. Then it's their job to make sure that the priest, maire or anyone else marrying them will start the ceremony at the right time so that the wedding's top moment will coincide with the given auspicious time.
In my area of the world, this ceremony lasts for 6 minutes, so it's easy to make sure that it starts at the right time...
